First off, love the hair. Secondly, it took me a minute to place the accent, until you mentioned NY. Third, who were you listening to in the background (music)?
Currently, I'm using Curly Pudding on my hair and Baby Buttercream for my 19 month old daughter. I love the Curly Pudding! I'm thinking about trying the BBC for my hair but don't know if I should put it on before CP, after CP or by itself. I'm also considering the Silkening Cream, when my local supplier gets more in stock.
Ithought about getting the silkening maybe after I'm done transitioning but I think I wanna see What I can do without any chemicals except maybe getting my hair colored..cause I love color.
The silkener is a glorified texturizer aka chemicals. Just so you know! If you did want to loosen your texture there are ways you can do it without lye. Henna will do that, which is why I stopped using it.
Yea ....I dont think I wanna do the silkener cause I dont wanna change my texture I love my tight curls........but I do love color but we shall see...
their products dry alot of peoples hair out and cause breakage/ split ends in a short span of time, and on numerous hair types I've heard this is problem. They are not natural either, too many chemicals and they falsely advertise they put chemicials in their hair.
I so wish this stuff worked for me... it so does not. :-( It clearly works for you. I like the Deva stuff. Good to know that there is something out there for all of us!
Seriously, it is really gorgeous! I am a Miss Jessie's addict, though I hate the scent of the regular pudding & buttercreme so I use unscented and baby. I use buttercreme for moisture and pudding for setting. Takes an hour to wash & style from start to finish, but it lasts a whole week! :-)
I tried Miss Jessies Curling Pudding for my 4a to 4b type. My curls looked great after putting the product on drenched-wet hair but as it dried, my hair got very dry & brittle. Sorry, but Kinky-Curly Curling Custard is much better (in my opinion) than Miss Jessies, Kinky-Curly is cheaper, lasts longer (at least a week without reapplying), and can be freshened with just a spritz of water... Goodbye Miss Jessies, Hello Kinky-Curly!!!
I've heard the same thing about Jessie's...I believe it is limited to certain hair types...looser and wavier curl types as opposed to hair types with more coils and kinks :) olive oil root stimulator product are pretty cool...try those...if you don't like them well...to each's own :) God Bless!
Girl when I did the hair show this past weekend this girl put curly pudding on my hair, while it did define my curls my hair was kind of crunchy afterward I remoisturized today with my own concoction it feels better but my curls are poppin
*gasp* mineral oil!? Okay so I'm exagerating because everybody preaches mineral oil bad bad bad. But in your opinion, do you think it's not too bad if it's in a product thats a styler and not a hair oil or moisturizer?
eh, it's still mineral oil if it's in a moisturizer or styler. you'd still need to get it out afterwards if your hair hates it. my hair will take mineral oil faster than silicones, seriously.
I like the Meringue and baby buttercreme. The curly buttercreme just ain't the same! lol My Baby buttercreme is thicker also! lol Of course, I was wondering how you liked this line!
I will be in Brooklyn Wednesday - Sunday! Can't WAIT to come home and visit fam!
Can you use the curly butter cream as a moisturizer first under the curly pudding? I tried a little of the curly pudding on a part of my hair and noticed that little white bud residue. My hair was dry, so I'm thinking maybe it's better to use on wet hair. If you have any advice on this let me know. BTW what is that song you have playing in the backgroud?
Hey! Ur hair is lookin good, girl! I was contacted by a Miss Jessies Rep after giving them a shout out on the "shingling" tech. I've tried quite a couple of puddings and I'm in love!!! They help me achieve 3rd day hair! The WSHP has worked so well for me that I feel like I'd be cheating on it if I tried Miss Jessies...lol. I already feel guilty about the Sweet Hair Pudding:( You really rec. this stuff?
Hey Ri, can you recommend any ways to protect your hair from the elements. Right now my hair is in twists, but I hate the fact that I can't get to my hair like I want to, you know, to moisturize it. I'm going to take them out after finals. I'm going to purchase some QB products to assit in protecting it from the elements, but can you recommend any styles or anything? Thanks for your help!
i agree BFTV. its alot of products that i really liked before, but now i make sure to stay away from Parabens, mineral oil, parabens, cones ETC. and my hair is benefiting from it...but man do my beloved cholesterol be calling my name every time i go into walmart...LOL

"and they falsely advertise they put chemicials in their hair. "
that statement is incorrect, next to pictures they clearly state weather the persons hair is natural or they have a silkener .
