Hey I'm thinking about getting a cr85 expert. I have 10 hours on my 1987 warrior 350, so I can ride clutch. I'm ready to move onto dirt bikes now. My dad said I can only get an 85 cc two stroke or a crf150f. I do NOT have the money for a 150r. I got bout 1000 bucks. I'm 5'8" 14 yo and 167 lbs. I'm just wondering if this bike will fit me or not. @Themcpricey I would live to see the day that an 85cc mx bike push 65mph. Unless you have put the smallest available sprocket in the back and and have it geared for max speed, tehre is no way you would even come close to that speed.

@skat3rny69 The problem is that the bikes are motocross bikes. They are not ment to go top speeds. they are ment to accelerate and tear through gears. Top speeds are very low. They are designed to take off and have the low geared power you need.

my stock cr85r goes 65mph in 500feet, the other which is port and polished goes 75 mph in 500ft. (not maxed out) they are fast little machines

oh and think about it,an 85 has 6 gears.if they did 60,that would mean about 10mph each gear.but on an 85 the rpms get high so quick your constantly shifting so no way are you gears getting 10mph each!im not dissing you,i own an 06 85 to im just telling you.alot of people mistake top speed on these bikes.

noo trust me.they dynoed a crf150r and it toped out at 53 even with an after market exhaust and there faster then 85's. 85's seem really fast i know,i own one but like i said 42-45 max.and i only weigh 140.a 250f will top out at about 60/65 .85's cant touch those bikes either so no way will an 85 reach that speed.ask any other rider,they will repeat what i just said

@Phantom1235786 i would either go with an 80 85 or if you drop in some new shox for the 125 that would fit. you would have to change the springs and all that though to fit your height and weight. but afterwords you would be fine. i would personally stay with an 80 or 85 though. parts are cheaper, and you dont have to change much for it to be a comfortable bike. i hope you find something your happy with
