@enushisama You just read 朝鮮王朝實録 and 武藝圖譜通志, but in 時用舞譜, there are various kind of one hand sword skills. Many kind of anthologies and Korean old novels in Joseun Dynasty also shows Korean traditional swordmanship.

@enushisama No, in Chinese dance, they dance with an axe and a shield, but 定大業之舞 of 時用舞譜, use only a one-hand sword. master Kim-Yong still teach the original form of that sword dance, it performanced in front of a King during a national ancestral rites to commemorate King's brave ancestors in Joseon dynasty.

@enushisama In case of Millitary in Joseon, based on only 朝鮮王朝實録 and 武藝圖譜通志, your opinion is seemed to be right. but, many people practiced swordmanships personally in Joseon Dynasty. Various kind of 野談 shows about the truth of Korean old swordmanship.

@enushisama Anyway, this video is absolutely no connection with korean traditional swordmanship. Most of player in this competition practiced HaedongGumdo, kendo or other martial arts.

@chohyuksang HaedongGumdo is the most serious problem. It has many lies including the insult to Japan.

@enushisama Maybe you confuse HaedongGumdo and Kumdo. HaedongGumdo is made by Na Han-Il and Kim Jung-Ho in 1970's, it contains KiChun(Korean style mantis kwan(螳螂拳)), and korean ond hand sword skills of korean Buddhist Kim Chang-Shik and Hapkido(Korean style aikido).

@chohyuksang i am learning Aikido 20years and more. you don't know history of aikido and connected with Kobudo(古武道) Hapkido opener Choi Yong Sul didn't have teacher's license,then he didn't master Aiki-kenjutsu,sword and Aiki-Jo cane,the action of original old aikido had to take the first move before his enemy draws his sword scabbard. korean can't think the reasons (理) kotowari...then hapkido is brute force and ignorance.

@enushisama HaedongGumdo Guys sometimes insult Japanese imperialism, but not Japanese Kendo. Kumdo( Korean style japanese kendo) guys sometimes said lies including the insult to Japan, it is originated from 36 year's brutal ruin of Japan in Korea. At that times so many koreans killed by japanese troops and cops, and many innocent girls raped. Because of that reason, so many koreans still hate japan very much, sometimes lies about history of kendo and kumdo.

@chohyuksang hi,i am studying women's right of korean and japanese. in amalgamated age,70% of policemen were korean.half senior officers were korean. even in WW2,korea was not action area,didn't have air attack than japan at all.korea was peaceful area how men could rape women or girl? raped criminal men were just you korean, after WW2 korean people jacked up japanese citizens,raped girl and stole japanese wealth. women know the trues....
