Obviously Regina isn't a style for everyone and she can get pretty funky with her accents and random noises. lol So to fully like her and not get weirded out you've got to listen to her mainstream stuff first. Tori Amos would go on Letterman playing songs like "Father Lucifer" or "Baker Baker" which were NEVER singles, just tracks on the CD. Real music listeners hear this and know its something. Let the other mainstream listeners continue on with Lady GaGa, Regina is above that.

The first song I heard by Regina was Back of a Truck from 11.11 and that is by far an out of this world song. So top being bitter about all the pop singers who get way too much credit for music that is talentless other then being super catchy and stuck in your head, and listen to Regina sing.

I love Regina and love her singing style, but everyone has their critics and they all have a right to speak and exxpress their opinions even though I disagree with them,lol.yeah that dahwtur is the New yorker in her Kathleen. She was born in Russian and is Russian, but from I believ age 12 raised in New YOrk, like quueens or the Bronx, one of the boroughs I think so she picked that New yorkah accent with a slice of her native Russian, and I believe gives her a great unique voice.

I will have to totally disagree with you about the fact that Regina can't sing (if that is what you are implying.) I saw her last night live at the Chicago Theater and she was spot on. Her voice is powerful and amazing. This video is from early in her career, and she has grown as an artist. If you want to judge her look at live videos from her latest 2 albums.
