I have this same HF100 but every time I try to capture the moon it shows as a blur white rounded object. It never shows the details in the video and the zoom does not magnify the moon that much. Do you use a telephoto lens? If you do then what is the cost of the lens and does it have to be high def lens?

Make sure to use manual focus.
