ohh now wouldnt you like to know

  • i bet it was killers who dislike this video scoobydoorocks10

  • did this freak anyone else out when they were kids? i'd end up scared after theyd show this on tv lol

  • 5:30, A bold glimpse into the future, predicting the coming of Castlevania? Maybe I'm thinking too much into this...

  • @blukmage19R i know right that was so funny

  • this video is hysterical i rmember watching it and laughing at the cop and the whole you will die at 11:30 etc. basically i like the whole show

  • Which one of you mugs bumped off the old boy?!

    Gets me every time.

  • I love hwo this ONE cartoon has like SO many hidden symbols to reference other people, like Red Skelton, that dude who whistles his S's, etc

  • It's always the announcer...

  • This is like the Disney short 'Who Killed Cock Robin".

  • There should've been a special Nobel Prize made for Tex Avery.

  • i like the painting in the beginning " spooky, isnt it?"

need one of those in my house

  • "AH yes! quite a bunch of us isn't it?"

  • @GameGhost1 i counted at least 20

  • @NinjaDragon22 actually its 23 count it again

  • I like how he grabs the mattress before he dies :-)

  • 6:20 Tex Avery does the voice of Santa in this short.

  • I Guess a lot of people out there are too young to know who Red Skelton is any way, Google him and find out. He is an old school comic.

  • The sound effect at 6:20 used to have me on the floor laughing, 'cause it was new and indescribable. What is that the sound of, anyway?

  • @psylentknight I don't know what audio equipment was used, but it's just a snippet of human voice played forward and then backward---or possibly overlapped.

  • its all anime now..... where are all these classics??

  • it's too bad that kids nowadays dont have respect these cartoons. i mean these are such great classics before the cartoons they have now.

  • "Now we'll see who done it!"

    "I do'd it!" *sobbing*

    LOL

  • The Phantom Blot is the man.

  • If you notice the detective guy (the one with the bowler and mustache) was taken from the guy who played the detective in The Laurel-Hardy Murder Case!

  • @CLASSICMONSTERGUY95 - The actor's name was Fred Kelsey, and he always played blustery (and usually dumb) comic cops like portrayed here.

  • 4:07 is she naked?

  • @satejunk no but close enough too be

  • @satejunk Nope. Wearing light yellow. Of course, when the 'toon was produced, there was virtually no home theater or any way to rewind and get a better look. Blink and you missed it.

  • The Victim is a spoof of actor Richard (Sound of Music) Haydn...who was used to playing people much older than himself. Compare this 'toon to Disney's "Duck Pimples". The plainclothes detective character is amazingly similar...possibly voiced by the same guy.

  • @zuiderzee98

Haydn himself voiced the Ctaerpillar in Disney's Alice, and influenced Clyde Crashcup in the original Alvin show.

  • At the sound of the gun, it will be exactly 12 o'clock!

  • Red skeleton? I don't get it!

  • @wattsink2009 There was a comedian back in the day named Red Skelton.

  • @laserdiscphan Thanks for explaining that to me

  • @laserdiscphan I am a personal fan of Red Skelton (4 dvds to prove it).

  • @wattsink2009 Red Skelton- a grand classic comedian and a good ole' soul!

  • 7:23 More than I needed to see. XD

    7:34 He dood it.

  • 2:14

Gotta love that usage of the NBC chimes

  • @arch331 You sir are right, NBC uses that chime but so does every school in Japan. The more you know...

  • in my opinion the first cry of the officer was funnier the second 5:57

  • hey. by chance know who the man in the end? 7:33

  • @penguinrobotme Yes it is the guy who also introduces the cartoon, an American actor called Robert Emmett O'Connor

  • this episode sund sega genesis 5:16

  • @penguinrobotme

The scene where he drops the vase down a hole and it hits him on the head?

  • @ClassicTVMan1981X yes menn

  • Every cartoon today that has any form of slapsick humor, owes it all to the genius of Tex Avery.

  • the part with the Skeletons is so random and yet so funny.

  • @TheSilent12 Well, they say that we all have a skeleton or two in our closets...

  • This is a classic, my fave is all the bound and gagged suited guys just fall 0ut the closet, 0ne guy takes 0ff his gag and says "Quite a bunch 0f us isn't it?" his gag is back 0n and rest fall 0ut (i c0unted at least 20ish that's a lot 0b c0rpses but that's why 0ld cart00ns have class)

  • he dos it

  • The victim is such a ham. The music is pure funny. Santa came just in time. The red skeleton is weird. So many guns on the table. So many corpses.

  • LOL the ending

    I DOOD IT! HAHAHUHAHAHAHAHAHUHUH
