@psylentknight I don't know what audio equipment was used, but it's just a snippet of human voice played forward and then backward---or possibly overlapped.
If you notice the detective guy (the one with the bowler and mustache) was taken from the guy who played the detective in The Laurel-Hardy Murder Case!
@satejunk Nope. Wearing light yellow. Of course, when the 'toon was produced, there was virtually no home theater or any way to rewind and get a better look. Blink and you missed it.
The Victim is a spoof of actor Richard (Sound of Music) Haydn...who was used to playing people much older than himself. Compare this 'toon to Disney's "Duck Pimples". The plainclothes detective character is amazingly similar...possibly voiced by the same guy.
This is a classic, my fave is all the bound and gagged suited guys just fall 0ut the closet, 0ne guy takes 0ff his gag and says "Quite a bunch 0f us isn't it?" his gag is back 0n and rest fall 0ut (i c0unted at least 20ish that's a lot 0b c0rpses but that's why 0ld cart00ns have class)
GREAT old skool cartoon man! They keep lifting this and others like it on The Tube, but for 30somethings like me? They are GOLD DUST bless!! Thanks BIG TIME for posting... LOL

I Guess a lot of people out there are too young to know who Red Skelton is any way, Google him and find out. He is an old school comic.
dirtydog21 5 months ago
The sound effect at 6:20 used to have me on the floor laughing, 'cause it was new and indescribable. What is that the sound of, anyway?

@CLASSICMONSTERGUY95 - The actor's name was Fred Kelsey, and he always played blustery (and usually dumb) comic cops like portrayed here.

@zuiderzee98
Haydn himself voiced the Ctaerpillar in Disney's Alice, and influenced Clyde Crashcup in the original Alvin show.
