I can do this but i have always called it a look call we live in maine and there are always loons around and if you can do this call good you can get them to call back. Very entertaining and fun! My dad taught me how to do it when i was about 7 or 8 he was thought by a person he knew from work. If you live in a place with loons this is a very fun call to learn!

I forgot to add this. Also you must make a pretty air tight seal with your hands so the air comes back out the bottom of the thumb gap. That's what creates the sound it go's in the top of your hands and when it whooshes out the bottom of the gap it makes a sound. That's essentially what makes the sound in whistles such as metal whistles like you see your p.e. Teacher use to get your attention lol

Just a side note, when you blow in and nothing happens but the sound of air, you may have to adjust your hand placement in relation to you other hand if that makes sense. Also, how much room you can see throughout the gap with your thumbs matters. Try slowly moving them apart from each other and back together with you blowing until you hear the whistle, otherwise it just sounds like air blowing :) hope that helps a little

@Scarface17539 its kinda hard to give tips on this one lol...all i got was a wind noise for a loooooong while, but as time progressed and as i practiced more and more, i got the gist of how i should hold my hands and blow into them. be sure that your hands are cupped with space inside, almost as if you are holding a butterfly you caught in your hands. and when you blow in air, dont blow too hard or too soft. if u jst practice, im sure that you will get it down:)

Good vids :) I'd like to see you do the noise with your hands that's like the opposite of a hand fart like I've seen some people do, instead of squeezing air out, you start with your hands together and pull them apart some how sucking hair in, it makes a different noise.
