Could you post a video or something of a tutorial for that scene.

    Or even the preset maybe?

I'm into making car movies and i'm in need of awesome looking "grades"

    Stay in touch!

  • Mr.Neumann you've inspired me so much that i went ahead and made a video of my own using my T2i and a home rigged Skate dolly.. Please view it if you get a chance and give me some tips. Thanks

  • This is so sick... love your work... you guys are inspiring.... what tripod head do you use?

  • @asiegel1202 It's the smaller Manfrotto one....not sure of the model.

  • I was wondering if you could tell me what type of memory card you use or what is the best to use. I dont know if others have asked... but i dont want to spend money on multiple cards if i can get one or two really good ones.

  • how do you do that sweet color correction!?

  • I really hope that, some time, you will shoot a 90 minute feature film!

  • hey what program do you use to compress your canon t2i footage?

  • Price went up $50 bucks and they are sold out. You must have given them some good business. :)

  • Thats really cool.

  • You guys are from salem oregon.?!?!

  • @Elizaluvsjb12 Albany.

  • One word, three letters... WOW!

  • This is amazing *-*

  • That was GORGEOUS. The sliders really do make such an amazing difference in shots like these. And yet another video letting me know I must get that 50mm lense.

  • Great tool. Nicely done. Did you shoot with Canon 5D? No movement jitter?

  • love ur wrk guys i watch ur vids all the time

  • Do you use 24fps whenever you use your slider? It does'nt seem like your getting any drag on your footage. It goes pretty smooth.good job!

  • Hey, I think I am going to get that slider that you mentioned. I went on the website and it said that the tripod head is not included. What tripod head do you use with yours?

  • no one handles that slider like you man ! NO ONE !

  • Make something special for your 100th upload!!

  • Praise the Lord for people like you Luke Neumann.... sooo awesome... and inspiring...

    I'm am def gettin a t2i

  • Hi Luke, Just a quick question. What format do you upload to Youtube? I use windows media 9 but it sometimes shows horizontal interference lines while the video plays on Youtube! Very annoying! Thanks in advance, Alan.

  • awesome!

  • I want one! But first I need my Canon 60d lol.

  • luke, whats your setting? is it at 60 fps?

  • Great video... where can we buy this ultraslider?

  • @almabranca the link is in the description of this video

  • Did the pistol grip come with this?

  • are you able to mount this onto a tripod or any stands? I like how cheap this is, but I like how the glidetrack allows you to mount onto a tripod.

  • @ManhMedia sure can!

  • @Dod3032 Thanks! One more follow up question. How do you mount it onto a tripod?

  • the last shot is amazing! this video is insane :P

  • @plawkzer thanks!

  • how do you grade this? any specific pulgin? magic bullet? manual matte and mask??

  • @themorningperson It's a mix of some stuff. MB Suite (gradients and diffusion) Some "Film Color" presets that I tweaked a little to fit each shot, Magic Bullet Misfire Vignette, and then some manual matte and masking. Some had more than one thing done to different Adjustment Layers etc etc.

  • @Dod3032 your grading are profesional good. cant wait for a tutorial. but i understand if you wanna keep it to yourself though..best of luck!

  • Where do you get your Cinematic score from?

  • small question - How did You compressed this ?

  • @zAtt1337 mpeg-2: 1920x1080, 23.976, 10 bit, 70,000,000bps

  • @Dod3032 vegas, ae, or other program ?

  • @zAtt1337 Sony Vegas 10.0

  • @Dod3032 is 70,000,000bps really necessary?

  • @maxbakerman It is when most of the shots are -16 QScale! OK...maybe not 70,000,000bps. I figured I would play it safe though.

  • @maxbakerman Actually we hovered right around -15/-16

  • amazing videos

    a question answer me please

how do you do the black bars in video?

I export in 1080 but it turns out to be wide but without bars

how do I do so that the video is seen by bars?

  • that was amazing. i need one of these. it looks so pro

  • OMG THIS IS CRAZYYYYYYYYY

  • Awsome man!

  • My one stop shop for DSLR tips, you guys are the best I have seen on the internet!

  • One word:

    EPIC!!!!!

  • Man! This stuff is awesome! Seriously, these are some of the best shots I've ever seen and I wish Nik Valley is gonna be made like yesterday! Amazing and completely cinematic in the best sense of the word. Such quality framing and wonderfully paced... I'm left for words!

  • Luke you have done great video as usual

That was some really nice footage, y'all.

    Take care

    Scott

  • Wow......Looks amazing...Nice and smooth, outstanding shots, cool color correction.

    Great work.....

  • Woah! Marika Neumann did some of this! She's my favorite!

  • @JesseShotland Oh yeah?

  • @Dod3032 Yeah, she seems very nice and she knows what she's doing. I don't know her personally but I'd love to meet her. You must know her, right?

  • @JesseShotland Yup, just my wife :)

  • @Dod3032 Haha, I noticed your name was Luke and then made the connection. That's awesome! Send her my fanmanship (if that's a word). Hey can you ask her to accept my facebook friend request for me? :) I'll add you too!

  • @Dod3032 Hahahah! Nice! She's very pretty. Lucky man you are.

  • your videos are fantastic. Keep up the good work!

  • Nice. Thanks for the advice. I want a glidecam too, I want to smooth out the footwork scenes. My tripod just isnt cutting it. :/

  • One Word..

    EPIC

  • @Dod3032 It's to bad the ultra slider company couldnt use your video. You show 10x better functionality then the videos on there site.Keep up the awesome work!!!

  • Is it better than the Glidetrack? Is the "gliding" smoother? Does it come with a bag?

  • This slider looks amazing. Finally a five foot slider at a price I can actually afford. I just checked out their wesite and placed an order. The transaction went smooth. I can't wait to get my slider and make videos like this one. Thanks for the heads up on this product Luke!

  • Did the Ultra Slider come with a fluid head? and also can you give a tutorial on how you get your pan up and down shots?

  • @wubascuba It did not come with a fluid head...most sliders don't ship with those anyways. That's a good idea too!

  • @Dod3032 Yeah, i really love your cinematic shots in this. The Ultra Slider seems pretty amazing, but i just don't get how you can slide it vertically without the shot looking shaky...?

  • Your work is so impressive!!! Nice Job

  • Is UltraSlider legit, the website looks very new... Can anyone verify? I want to buy one of these things.

  • @WelschVideo As legit as any other slider company.

  • @Dod3032 Ah shoot they only accept paypal? $272 after shipping+tax BTW

  • @WelschVideo it's legit. Order one and see.

  • DUDE. The minute I get $200+ I'm buying one! Your video got me sold! Haha. You should work for this company... I mean, you know, if you don't yet. lol

  • So, I purchased a T2i about a month ago I've got a Class 10 8GB PNY SD memory card and I keep receiving the message that says that it's stopped recording automatically... Any idea as to why that would happen?

I love your videos and you're a huge inspiration.

Please let me know and keep it up :D

  • @Teeareohwhy89 hi, your video stops because your SDHC card is now fast enought...

  • @john2555 Any Suggestions?

  • @Teeareohwhy89 try to choose PAL (because of 50/25fps) , if it will not help - try to set smaller resolution.

  • @Teeareohwhy89 Or get a new memory card...

  • WOW I must have one...does it come with the attachments to go on the camera?

  • vertical slider @1:28 ??

  • @reincarnage256 Vertical slider everywhere!

  • does this slider have tripod holes especially on both ends? their website only has one photo of the slider which I can't tell. Thank you.

  • @yoursbyjohn Yes they do!

  • I have a 6 foot slider and it definitely is nice to have the extra length

  • The shot at 00:59 looks like something straight out of a movie. Amazing Job!

  • I started freaking out at 30 seconds. THIS IS AMAZING

  • May I know what resolution you shot this at? 1080 or 720? Do you also use the same timeline sequence in AE? Thanks.

  • @cellg8 I shot most of it at 1080, the slow mo shot (think there was only one) was at 720. What do you mean about the same timeline sequence?

  • @Dod3032

Thank you for the reply. I use CS5 Premiere and I have to select a timeline/sequence for the project upon beginning the new project. I can't figure out how to work on both 720 and 1080 on the same timeline because 720 has different resolution and the dimension looks different than 1080. If you know of a way to UP the resolution of 720 footages and make it the same as 1080, please let me know. Thank you.

  • @cellg8 Right, I usually just drag the clip into the "make new comp" icon and it forms my timeline to fit the clip. I usually just save as is in After Effects and then combine everything into a 1080p timeline in sony vegas though.

  • @Dod3032

Thank you so much. I will play around.

  • I know who I'm hiring as a DP when I make feature films one day!

  • @SonicStrength112 Well thank you sir :)

  • do you know if this is standard to all DSLR's? (turning down the Sharpness and contrast) or specific to Cannon or even your model?

    thanks

  • @lancecadena I'm not sure, I know picture styles are standard on most Canon's so you can probably change it on any Canon.

  • @Dod3032 i GUESS MY question was not a clear as it should have been. Do nikon, pentax, sony camera require the same tweeks? Sharpness and contrast ....I can turn them off on my pentax.

SO I guess my real question is: Is this something that is tried and true to better improve videos? I am new to all this.

  • @lancecadena I know that it's probably a better choice with any camera to do this, it will only increase your Dynamic Range.

  • Wow this is just amazing and the price is perfect! I am definately picking one of these up :)

  • Got a t2i...LOVE it. Sry for the noob que but is shooting video with the "flat" setting, where the sharpness is all the way down, corrected simply by a "sharpen" kind of post process in Vegas? Keep the videos up. Major source of inspiration.

  • @TheSteroidRodeo Flat is all the way down on Sharpness AND contrast. Then you have more options in Color Correction. I also shoot with Highlight Tone Priority on, that coupled with the flat setting gives you quite a bit of Dynamic Range to play with!

  • Or even a tutorial or walkthrough of your post process in coloring your shots and stuff.

  • @vocazone I might, I might. I AM using a new method of Color Correction so maybe it would be a good idea.

  • OMFDZ You always seem to amaze me with every video. The shots are amazing! You need to show us a little behind scenes where you explain how you expose a shot and so on. You're a true inspiration!

  • Wow, $250 for 5ft? Can't beat that! Guess I'll be picking one up.

  • Nice video! I'd like to see some behind the scenes of how you'all used this slider, showing some of the things you've learned as you used it. Seems like it'd take some practice to get a smooth 5ft slide.

  • @Knoptop We actually got a lot of BTS stuff and I am going to release a video next week sometime :)

  • @Lockstock92 Yes, I think you can on both ends so you would need two tripods.

  • Hey, I've been watching your films for quite a while and I can definitely say that I'm impressed. I made a short film using the 550d on my channel so feel free to watch that and tell me what you think. That would be a huge help! Also, is MPEG 2 the best quality format for export 550d footage? My clips never look as good as yours...? haha thanks again man!

  • Sorry if you get this question a lot and it's already been covered countless times in your vids and comments (I can't find it), but what computer are you using to edit your videos on? I am working on making a full-length DVD (about an hour or two long) with the T2i and a cheaper HD JVC camera I have (not at 100% full quality). I will be using a lot of clips with effects (Vegas) in almost each one. What computer equipment would you recommend for this to someone who doesn't have tons of money?

  • @anklepantsmagazine Well, to edit this I am running a Dell Inspiron 1420...nothing too crazy but it does the job!

  • this is very nice i like this

  • Make another color grading tutorial!

  • @binhetranfilms For After Effects?

  • @Dod3032 Yes! for After Effects. Please.

  • What fluid head did you use? This is awesome.

  • @MrLTFilms I'm using one of the smaller Manfrotto heads.

  • amazing work!!!

im definatly going to pick one of these up :)

also side note do these companys pay u to make these vids

  • how u do up to down movement with this ? :O

  • @zAtt1337 Just by turning the slider up vertically.

  • Well, you sure marketed that pretty well. Never fail to impress.

  • How did you do the vertical shots?

  • @WelschVideo Just by turning the slider up vertically you can essentially change it into a decent crane.

  • but holy crap this footage is amazing though.

  • I'd rather just use a regular dolly. they're usually cheaper and their results are just as good. I got a dolly for $150 and all i had to do was find some 10' pvc pipe and it was great.

  • @BenHughesStudios Well, first that's probably not ALL you had to do, you had to make the carriage, and the wheels, and make sure they worked properly. It's all very time consuming and I am the kind of person who gets super frustrated over that kind of work...I look at it like paying for someone to build it for me.

  • You, sir, are a gentleman and a scholar!

  • This video literally took my breath away! To know that with tools such as the 550d, we can create cinematic quality footage. This film was genuinely stunning! Well done! Exciting times are ahead!

  • Great video! I need one of those!

  • You guys are amazing.

  • can you please tell me how you positioned/ angled the shot at :43 ? i dont understand how you did the vertical slide

  • Great vid man love your stuff

  • I want this camera now :)

  • wow love the sunset and that slider deal is pretty sweet too. i'll be checking that one out after while

  • AMAZING. I really wish I have the Canon T2i, but for now, I'm gonna have to settle with a digital cam =/

  • i love the ultraslider, its profesional powerful and the canon t2i ; D

  • i love how the music suspenseful and epic despite the simplicity and shallowness of the video's "topic"! brilliant
