You can leave this conversation if you want. Problem is you'll leave still remaining ignorant. There is no facts to say that carolina dogs are dingoes, also if they were dingoes they would be classified as them!!!!! think that through why don't you. Of course you're going to think you're right, because you are IGNORANT. You don't own a dingo, if you owned a real dingo you would have a big enclosure in you're backyard and a Wildlife Permit. Because to own a dingo you need expirience.
@Lewellingfamily there is no evidence to suggest that dingoes are related to Carolina dogs. If you want to go to a site that has proper infomation go to the dingo discovery centre's site, they have worked with leading uni's around the world. The dingo in Australia is unique to Australia but has close relations to wild dogs in South East Asia, but is in no way related to Carolina dogs, they don't even look similar, why don't you come to Australia and see what a real dingo looks like?
That's my dog to a Tee. I thought she was Dingo for a long time, but have recently discovered Carolina Dogs or "American Dingos" and THAT is what she is, no doubt. She won't fetch either. Its grab it and kill it, or hide it, lol.
That's a Carolina dog not a dingo. for one thing dingoes are not classified as dogs. They are most like a coyote then they are dogs. And they're native to Australia
@IIproductionsII Actually a Carolina dog is also known as an American Dingo and is closely related to an Australian Dingo. And Dingoes are classified as dogs, look it up anywhere. And a dingo doesnt just mean Australian. They are all over the world.
@crunchbar1 You are wong you ignorant idiot. Dingo is a native Australian name. The only dingoes in the world are in Australia. Dingoes in Australia are closely related to the PNG Singing dog, it is thought that they were related but split apart and the ones that went to Australia developed and became the dingo. Dingoes are not all over the world, they can only be found in Australia and Carolina dogs are in no way related to them. Dingoes are classified as wolves.
@crunchbar1 By the Australian Government. Dingoes do not bark they can only howl. Dingoes do not have any body smell. Dingoes can disolcate their joints. None of these things define a Carolina Dog. Some Americans think that the Carolina dog looks like dingoes, that's why they copied us and called them the American Dingo. But they are very differant creatures and you should do some research before saying mindless crap facts like that. I have a permit and a enclosure for my REAL dingo.
@IIproductionsII dingos aren't "native" to Australia just like CD/AD's arent "native" to the US. DNA has shown there may be a connection between the 2!!!
"Preliminary mitochondrial DNA testing performed by the University of South Carolina's College of Science and Mathematics shows a possible strong genetic link between Carolina Dogs and other primitive breeds like the Australian Dingo.." from carolinadogs. com
@lewellingfamily That is wrong. Also it's spelt Dingoes not dingo's if you're going to copy our names you can atleast spell it right. Dingoes only known relations are from the a wild dog in Southern Asia. There is no way these dogs could of gotten to America because of it's distance. Also Carolina dogs are domestic dogs. If Carolin dogs are dingoes why is it illegal to transport dingoes to other countries, but not other dogs? because dingoes are native to Australia.
It was Brisbin's knowledge of Australia's dingo that first led him to look at a familiar local canine in an entirely new way.
Brisbin was studying the origins of the world's remaining wild, ancient dogs, including the dingo, which may have reached Australia walking alongside that continent's original human inhabitants thousands of years ago. Such primitive dogs are uncommon because the canine passion for choosing diverse mates often complicates breeding patterns.
this from National Geographic article about Carolina Dogs. I know nothing is going to change your mind if you want to believe Dingoes are native to Australia....no matter what the facts are so I am abandoning this conversation. I hope you enjoy your Dingo & I know us here in the US will enjoy ours!
@IIproductionsII Yeah did the Australian government also say that in most regions 80% of wild Dingo's are crossbred with domesticated dogs? No they probably didn't or else you wouldn't of repeated complete bullshit. Big deal you have a permit for your dingo. That doesn't mean anything. My aunt does wolf rescue and has to have permits for them but they aren't even 100% wolf. Your "dingo" probably isn't 100% either.
1. You are a stupid redkneck American, you have no idea about Australian animals such as the dingo.
Also it's spelt "dingoes" not "dingo's" learn to spell. What regions? because dingoes are only found in Australia, the have relations that are bred with domestic dogs in Asia, but again they are NOT dingoes.
My dingo is 100% pure, all dingoes in Australia are tested. Fuck, your an ignorant dumbass, dingoes are native to Australia the end
Carolina Dogs aren't really about the 'fetch', are they? xD LOL. Beautiful dingo you've got there. They're very smart and will get the best of you if you don't watch out!

@IIproductionsII American Dingo is the "nick name" for Carolina Dogs... thats why you often hear them being called AD/CDs
AlienXCherie 1 year ago
@AlienXCherie I know but they are nothing like dingoes. Why not think up another nick name instead of calling them that.

" As in other migrations,...... The dingo arrived in
Australia at approximately the same time that the Carolina dog arrived in North
America. Neither the dingo nor the Carolina dog were native to Australia or North
America, but with the arrival of the tribes soon became widespread over both
continents." from Lynches River Carolina Dogs com
