@tracemaster100 Since it was done on an Commodore Amiga computer, it was Deluxe Paint 3 for the animation. Today there's any number of good video editing programs for PC, Apple and Linix machines.

There's different kinds of furries. But I think the best way to describe it is that it's not being attracted to walking talkiing animals as it is the idea of being one.
Others do it simply because they like drawing. Others just enjoy reading/watching stories about them.
Personally, I prefer the wolf. I'm always looking for stories about wolves.
The furry fandom might be relatively new. But the concept of furries isn't. If you look back through
history they have either been glorified or demonized for whatever reason and have appeared in many shapes sizes and forms.
It's part of the reason why WB and Disney have done so well because of course young and impressionable kds are always going to be curious about talking with animals. (probably a lot of the questions would be why cats lick themselves and why dogs sniff each other's asses, but I digress).

Furries differ in definition from the term "fandom" because they are not "fans" of anthropomorphic characters and animals. Rather they have sexual desires for them and feel spiritually connected to them.
I don't think being a fan is a bad thing, but the suits and the Furry orgies is a little strange in my opinion it seems like legal bestiality, i'm not dissing it, it's a person's own choice. @BobHershey what program did you use to process the video? i would like to make a cartoon dvd but i dont know what to pick. i think audacity would work good for the audio but for the vid i dont know what to pick and i thought your vid looked awesome.

@tracemaster100 Since it was done on an Commodore Amiga computer, it was Deluxe Paint 3 for the animation. Today there's any number of good video editing programs for PC, Apple and Linix machines.

Well, here's the thing.
There's different kinds of furries. But I think the best way to describe it is that it's not being attracted to walking talkiing animals as it is the idea of being one.
Others do it simply because they like drawing. Others just enjoy reading/watching stories about them.
Personally, I prefer the wolf. I'm always looking for stories about wolves.
The furry fandom might be relatively new. But the concept of furries isn't. If you look back through

history they have either been glorified or demonized for whatever reason and have appeared in many shapes sizes and forms.
It's part of the reason why WB and Disney have done so well because of course young and impressionable kds are always going to be curious about talking with animals. (probably a lot of the questions would be why cats lick themselves and why dogs sniff each other's asses, but I digress).
In short, there's really no one true answer to your question. But

Furries differ in definition from the term "fandom" because they are not "fans" of anthropomorphic characters and animals. Rather they have sexual desires for them and feel spiritually connected to them.

I don't think being a fan is a bad thing, but the suits and the Furry orgies is a little strange in my opinion it seems like legal bestiality, i'm not dissing it, it's a person's own choice. It takes all kinds of people to make the world go round and as long as no Real animals get hurt in the process, i don't see anything really that wrong with it.

Meh, I consider myself a furry. But not in the sense that you would describe, at least from my perspective it isn't. I wasn't even aware of our species name even used as slang. But I would like to ask, would you go into more detail when the furry fandom was in it's infancy? As in, before or during early subculture era.

Technically, the fandom has been around for as long as Man has been able to use tools. One of the earliest samples of man-made artifacts is a little statue carved out of bone depicting a man with a lion's head. Long before the creation of FurAffinity, people were making furry art. *lol*
