I'd say the primary difference between the two is that Lance rides for his cause and for his team, while contador rides only for himself. A true teammate would not have attacked Andreas Kloden out of a podium position like contador did or attack without the go ahead from the coach. Lance always gives credit to his team and I think the maturity differential between the two really showed. I give lance a lot of credit for playing the role of the domestique for Contador. He really is a team player.

Comparatively speaking, Armstrong is a far better rider than Contador. Face it, his entire team sent him a message saying they didn't believe in his douchebaggery. While Contador is a great rider, Armstrong is morally and ethically more sound.
