@PGH15 if your talking about that floor I was working on, this was in 2007. The floors being worked on was 57, 58, and 63. UPMC moved into those floors for offices.
@Dame1999 oh ok. i heard that there were rumors of putting a park on the vacant roof. it sounds a little silly but then again what other city can say they have that.
I remember going to Tulsa in 1989 and going to the 57th floor of the City Plex Tower. That was around 610 feet in the air and that was very high. This building is a little bit taller than that one. On the 57th floor your about 750 feet in the air. City Plex Tower 60 floors and 648 feet. This building is 64 floors and 841 feet. Cars look like ants looking down from either one of those towers.
Thanks for taking this video! I remember when my cousins and my aunt and uncle visited in the year 2000, we all took the T to Steel Plaza, and went to the restaraunt that used to be at the top of this amazing tower, and saw the beuatiful view. Too bad you can't do that now, but sweet video!
Thank you for sharing. My first job was in that building on the 47th floor in 1978, company moved out in mid 80's and then moved back in early 90's and I haven't been in there since 1995. Brought back lots of memories, especially those columns sticking up everywhere.
do u know what their plans are to put up there? i know its been vacant for several years.
