I so enjoy your vlogging style. I could watch you everyday. If I had time I would. So I'm catching up tonite on some vids. Your vids being up now.
I do enjoy certain ppl who the same "format" with most of their vids. It works for some. Others will vary their format and it works too. Once a videomaker starts going bored with their stuff others will be too. Then its time to change up. : )
With us what you see is what you get! I think our name pretty much says it all! I really like it when folks try new things....I do miss ask Rufus though...LOL! Love ya, Grams
Yes looking into the details of the viewers is a smart thing to do. But again being a artist from the heart allows you to just create and display with reckless abandon! I think we all appreciate that true expression! You and the Cat have that gift! The visor was underrated! Loved it back then!
Although i'm known primarily as a vlogger. I do like to mix it up a little on my channel & it's often those different videos that get the most response.
Someone once said to me "trust your subscribers" & that's something i've bourne in mind ever since. People subscribe because they like what you do, whatever you do. Your subscribers won't let you down.
I'll always be a big fan of Good YouTuber/Bad YouTuber but I like all your other stuff too. I gotta admit that I have kinda an innate need in my videos to deliver some sort of big finish.
You're right, views of pretty much everyone ain't what they used to be, mine included. I do tons of video responses and if I did like lots of people and did them mainly to the big time people I'm sure I'd get more views but it's loads more fun and gratifying doing them to my little group.
nice point at the end - "there are expectations from people", that's probably true, but it throws me as to "what those expectations are" when a few of my recent vlogs got more views/comments than the Cat & Funny stuff.
Perhaps we just have broader demographics than we think and all we do when we mix things up, is appeal to some of the people that don't watch or 'usual stuff' and may have even discovered the channel the last time we tried something different.
Agreed, I'd go mad if I had to wonder what those expectations are.
Excellent observation about appealing to a certain group of people in one video, then a completely different group (including new people) on the next. On the negative side, it could be viewed, in my case, as turning off many people when I mix it up. But I'll think positively :)
Think positively John, make the videos 'you' want to make (which I'm sure you do) and I'm sure they'll always find their audience.
A recent person left a comment that he discovered my channel due to my Nalts response which couldn't have been further from my normal stuff. On the bright side he did say he'd been watching ever since and did like the mix of vlogs/comedy etc
You're right, it's not. Most of us are out here doing it solo on our channels, aside from occasional collabs, so he and Mr. Funny are able to scratch an itch that many can't quite reach.
Glad you enjoyed that fridge video. Now that I think of it, I guess that's part of my routine now.
And I just read your reply to me on Kid's video - LOL!
Haven't been a viewer long enough to know you had a previous incarnations, John. Ha,ha! Your eclectic personalty keeps me completely hooked. Tired Formulas are what killed TV for me. Genuine novelty is hard too find. Always like what I find here with you.
You might be able to fill the window about to be vacated by Trevor Rieger.
I concur...the thing with Buck's schtick is although it forms a handy, very fast entertainment byte..when the items run straight into each other without a breath they kind of lose any significance they 'might' have had.
When the hell did Trevor leave? More important ...why ... he seemed to be having fun. I should be on top of things and I was just on that page 2 weeks ago.
Don't worry he's still around. lol..for the time being anyway..but there are currently steps under way to remove his website or at least significantly hamper his ability to slander those on this site
I never ever thought what he did was slander, and he did murder me in text a few times, unless he crossed some line that I'm unaware of like dropping dox. Thanks for info and the update!
as long as john watches my blogs i am happy

Lanzarote is in California? Who let that canary out of the bag? LOL
I confuse my 'audience' all the time - but only because I confound myself!

I've got more to say on this but time is against me so I'll comment and watch Part 2 after work later today.
And it's funny, this video does have connections to a vlog I was thinking about doing called "Cult Following" so expect a response in a day or so.
Cheers John and thanks for the response.

I only wish I were brother, but that means alot.

Ditto on the comfort zone of Steve's channel. I like their banter, and even though his vlogs do throw that off a bit, I like his vlogging too.
There was a point I wanted to make outside of just agreeing with you but I forget now what that was.
:-/
Mixing it up is all I know how to do. Sticking with any one formula for long frustrates me too much.

Just yesterday I saw your fridge video with Rafael83? ... brilliant example of mixing it up and your facial expressions were priceless. Loved that.
Steve's channel feels like a nice bar to hang out and chill. That's not all that common here on YT :)

I've always had trouble doing a one man show, it's just that much harder!
I love your comedy, and then your vlogs truly can't get any deeper. Awesome stuff.
About Kidblood, well you know, he's always very happy to see me ;)

Please don't ever bring Miley Cyrus into your vlogs besides that passing mention!
Sure you have the flow to match Whatthebuck but does his show actually inform you of anything? Really?

Shit. Just when I was going to start reading the National Enquirer on YouTube.
Interesting thing is that I've never been able to sit through a whole show of his. Tried twice.
