What really happened was John Petrucci unknowingly altered the magnetic field of the sun with the Meshuggah Riff, causing the circuitry of the sound system to go haywire. Jordan Ruddess tried helplessy to fix it using his gift of magic, but John was too strong and unaware of his own power. Then, backstage, James LaBrie was enjoying a nice helping of jello to soothe his vocal chords when he decided to sing a note that would kill a normal man, which reversed John's power and solved the problem.

I went to see DT 3 times this year, and I'm pretty sure they respond to a particular part of MP drums on particular sections of songs
