Thank you Gracie and thank you veggiegirl, you are brilliant and saying truths so people who has compassionate can look up on internet, and learn what they haven't heard of from your video here. Either anyone will become vegan or not, it's their choices. I know people with compassionate hearts and love animals will give themselves less excuses after hearing what Gracie said.
And did you know that cows cannot make it without us? Don't take my word for it, look it up. You're only looking at a small number of farms PETA brings up. Not ALL treat and kill their animals in wrong manners..
@DivaTantrum & @ashleebayer My point was - in order to *get* hens that will lay eggs, you need fertile eggs. Half of which will hatch into unwanted males. I do know that the eggs don't need to be fertile in order for a hen to lay them. Hens actually eat their unfertile eggs - in order to get back the calcium they lost from laying the egg.
@Mspokemonfan2 I get my protein from soya foods (tofu, vegan sausages, etc), lentils, chickpeas, beans, grains, nuts, seeds.. protein's in just about anything so it's pretty easy to get enough being vegan :)
@wiwarb but who is most of the soya grown for? Not people, but for farm animals. A great amount of food grown that could be fed to people is fed to farm animals instead. Therefore, if we stop farming animals, rainforests will no longer be cut down for their food to be grown on. Because really, the world ALREADY has enough food to feed all the people of the Earth. If we took all the food that we feed to farmed animals and fed it to humans, there would be no more world hunger. Simple as that.
Just because apples and wheat don't scream when you cut them doesn't mean they don't feel pain. In fact, many studies show fruit and vegetables can still feel pain a few moments after they are cut, and can, in essence, be eaten alive. If there are groups for people "against" animal cruelty, why are they therefore not for the cruelty of trees and plants? Too bad a tree cannot cry.
@Fortron18 Trees and Plants are simply not sentient. In order to have rights, a being has to be sentient. A right is a concept to protect an interest, and in order to have interest, the being has to be sentient. Sentient beings have desires, wants, feelings. Plants don't have interests and are therefore not sentient.
But even if they are sentient, you should be vegan anyway, because animal farming is an inefficient use of plant protein, as animals consume more calories than they produce.
@poja82 I'm not telling people what they should and shouldn't do, what I was saying was simply "If you really care about plants, you should be vegan because animal farming is an inefficient use of plant protein". I'm not trying to "force" this upon anyone, I am just stating the facts and people can decide what they want to.
@Fortron18 Plants don't have nervous systems, and therefore, they don't feel pain. In fact, they don't feel a thing. They don't have a brain to process the sensations either.
actually you dont need fertile eggs. a hen will lay just fine without a rooster, i currently have a flock hanging out in my backyard, roosterless. i get plenty perfect eggs. friendly meat.... home grown free ranged animals that are raised on farms, are generally not"thrown into boiling water" we generally respect and love our animals, and slaughter them with respect. sheering sheep are generally handled with care, and it is done so respectfully.
@ashleebayer Maybe you should look at it from the animal's perspective. Even if you had a good short life, would that make it any more acceptable for someone to "respectfully" murder you? If a child was murdered, the murderer saying that she had a good life and was a happy child, and she was murdered "with respect", is that acceptable?
It's not about *how* they're killed but *that* they're killed.
@veggiegirl142 You're fucking comparing HUMANS to animals??? You're putting US beneath THEM? WOW, just WOW... I lost all respect for you. We should give thanks to animals as they NOURISH us. Without them many WOULD get sick, and without us many would go extinct because of overpopulation. They've proven that the brain needs vitamin B STRICTLY from animal meat in order to function correctly.
@3DOBot Ah why shouldn't she compare us to animals? Lets see, we all breath, bleed and breed! Animals just can speak up for themselves or defend themselves like we can. Plus, Who's proven that we need vitamin B? Also, meat can lead to disease and cancer. And cultures that practice veggie diets don't get ill like Americans do!
@3DOBot Why shouldn't she compare us to animals? We're all alive and breath, bleed and breed! Animals just aren't able to speak up for themselves or defend themselves like we can. And since your bringing up health, meat can lead to disease and cancer--check out a little doc called FORKS NOT KNIVES.
@ashleebayer no everyone is "so kind" -- slaughter house workers are probably numb from killing all day and don't care how the animal dies after a while, just their paycheck.
@ashleebayer Slaughter house employees are probably numb from killing all day. After a while, I doubt they care how the animal dies. To them it's just another day, another paycheck. So not everyone is "so kind" as you.
@SirSexyAlot Being vegan isn't difficult, there are heaps of vegan foods out there now. You just have to read the labels. Dark chocolate is vegan, and it's so easy to make cakes without eggs!
@SirSexyAlot It seems modern vegans (finally) realize that carob is not even CLOSE to being chocolate and that one can make vegan cakes that aren't spice cakes... :-)
Just because animals are smart doesn't mean we shouldn't consume them. People have been killing animals that way for years so get used to it. The reality of the situation is survival of the fittest. So if you want to save all these animals so they can one day take us over, then go ahead. But I wont be a part of it.
Great vid, but please be mindful too of the beloved plants as they too have feelings. This is a documented fact so I urge you to also avoid plant matter too.
Every success with your video animation, those working in the field of animal liberation and ethics are proud of your stand and of your promotion of compassion through a vegan lifestyle, I am also sure the animals would show their appreciation too if they could talk.
I love the message (that is why I subscribed). However, I question the delivery. I too am a VEE - GUN! How about investing $30 in a webcam and lets see you infront of the camera for a change?
Like I say, I love the message, but I think it might be more effective if YOU gave it to us instead of an avitar.
HAPPY NEW YEAR! I look forward to seeing you! _Rob
Thanks! I tried making her pronounce the words correctly, I think that was as close as I could get. But yeah, maybe I'll film myself for my next video. I do have a webcam, but I hardly ever use it!

All true and I agree. Though the only point I will say is that Hens do not need fertile eggs to give birth. It's almsot a bit like a period.
The eggs only produce a chick if it is fertilised, if not, it's empty.

@veggiegirl142 Please don't eat soya.
the biggest mistake a vegan can make is eating soya,
the rain forest will be cutdown for producing soya,
stay Ital

Being VEGAN is simply REVOLUTIONARY not because of animals, but also because of multinationals and environment.

There's nothing that can be said to defend animal slaughter that can't also be said about eating babies.

Every motherfucking thing has either milk or eggs in.
And I personally love chocolate and cake. Still at least I am not eating meat :D
