Ugh. English dub is so annoying. And Funimation has the best around for sure, but I still prefer to watch anything anime in Japanese with subtitles.

@sevenstarsofmine Then why the hell do you even bother with Funimation? Surely it would be simpler to order it online from the Japanese distributer. That way you don't have to wait for it to be dubbed in a language you obviously don't care about. Which, ironically is your own.

@KingPiccolOwned haha you don't know if English is my own language. And I "bother" with Funimation because they usually put up on their youtube SUBBED anime as well as dubbed. Buying it from a Japanese distributor is illegal if it's licensed, and usually more expensive. I don't have anything against funimation. I think they are the best anime distrib in America which is why I'm supporting them, but I think when an American tries to do a voice over with anime mannerisms, it looks weird.

@sevenstarsofmine Okay a quick sidenote before I make a valid point: you're complaining about english voiceovers being wierd when you've got The Fucking Son of Jack Skellington running around doing chores for a freaking japanese-gypsy-shut-in. I hate to break it to you, but I don't think that the show could be weirder if it were dubbed in fucking Marklar (look it up).

@sevenstarsofmine Right, done with that, now since you seem to be quite fluent in english I simply deduced that it was your native tounge, though it is possible I was wrong. After all, having conversations on internet forums is like playing liars scrabble... Yeah that's a weird reference but I bet you'll figure it out. Outside of that though, I suppose that your arguments make sense, I just happen to be hyperdefensive of english dubs.

@KingPiccolOwned Im happy that there is such a thing as dubbing. If there wasn't, anime wouldn't be as big in the world as it is today, but I prefer to watch anime in Japanese. I don't think it's possible for funimation to do a better job of it. FMA is amazing. But i still prefer to watch the original content.

and don't worry about it being hyperdefensive of dubbing. Many people are. I got a pm that kind of had a "Like the dubbing... or else" feel to it based on this comment. Haha
