red bull is building an Army of elite warriors who do "extreme spots" for "our entertainment". really its all training for SPC-OPS missions conducted world wide. The space jump is just the next way red bull can deploy there assassins around the globe completely undetected. Oh and i guess there energy drinks taste good too.
They have performance designed canopies that allow them to do the kind of stuff they do. Including low turns, swoops, and stuff like that.
The main cause on of injury is landing, some miscalculated turns can turn out quite badly. But those guys are surely experienced enough to do what they do...

Yes, there is a jerk when your parachute opens...and these guys probably were pilots so they know how to parachute pretty well.
