Well, saying anything more would not be good as lots of fans of Rafi saab has told alredy.

Just wondering why Hindi movie could not able to produce any more of Rafi, Kishore, Mukesh, Asha and Lata.

Still 60's and 70's hold the golden era of Hindi cinema.

Why these songs still sound so great, because writer was real poet who don't just write on the whim some bullshit.

Music directors used to take months to come with one song like this.

I wish I could born in that era.

Chitragupta's style in unmatched. He was very fond of Lataji and never compromised on her. He knew full well, like the great Madan Maohan, that only Lata could do justice to his tunes. His greatest Lata solos are: Balma Maane Na (Opera House), Kaare Kaare Baadra (Bhabhi), Yeh Pehli Ghata Sawan Ki (Maa Beta) and so many more.....! One more song from this film 'Vaasna' is also very good... "Main Sadqe Jaaon Mere Saiyan Tum Aaye To Ho..". and "Jeenewale Jhoom Ke Mastana Hoke Jee ..Thanx. Sir !

you may well go on abt lata but when she had her selfish row with Rafi sahab , the mds ignored her and carried on producing awesome duets using the equally wonderful voice of suman kalayanpur, in the end lata knew she was the one losing out and stopped her tantrums, conclusion, Rafi sahab was far better and much more humble, may you rest in peace Rafi sahab , ur well away from some petty minded hindus who cudnt see past ur religion but ur missed by millions be they hindu or muslim

Chitragupta has composed some real good duets such as Lagi Chhoote Na, Teri Duniya Se Door, Mausam Ye Pukare, Laagi Nahi Chhoote Rama Chahey Jiya Jaaye and a host of others. Chitragupta was the assistant to MD S.N. Tripathi. I believe his sons Anand-Milind are also Music Directors but I haven't heard any of their work.

Also, not all Hindi and Urdu words may appear in these dictionaries but looking at a few of them usually gives some good results.
