@ljhanna777 The second death was symbolic for the second destruction of the temple of Jerusalem and the end of the mosaic age as well as the ritual daily slaughter as prophesized in Dan 7-8 and Matt 3:10 and Matt 24..
@ShirleyCoralineJones, you said: "hell" comes from 3 Greek words and 1 Hebrew word, all with different meaning". You are right about that, the words are Sheol, Hades, Tartarus, and Gehenna, none of which bear any real resemblance to modern Christianity's concept of hell. Grace and peace to you.
He has woken up! He's done his research and learned that the words for "everlasting" and "eternal" do not mean forever! He's learned that the word "hell" comes from 3 Greek words and 1 Hebrew word, all with different meanings! Good job on knowing what it is you believe.
The Bible does not teach eternal punishment. God's love and mercy endures forever. Does it really endure forever or only in this life? How can it be Good News if it doesn't translate to the afterlife?
1 Timothy 4:10- This is why we work hard and continue to struggle, for our hope is in the living God, who is the Savior of all people and particularly of all believers.
I've been looking for awhile now and I can't find a single denomination of "Christianity" that teaches this doctrine!
You'd think at least one church would have this doctrine... but it's shocking that the churches of this world don't even question the nature/duration of hell/the lake of fire
I like this video. The main problem is that some hear the word "universalism" and they think of a Unitarian type of theology that all religions are the same, but they are acting and calling people heretics before they think. Christian universalism simply teaches that ALL will eventually be saved by Christ and his blood. 1 Corinthians 15:22 would be very lopsided if the traditional view of "hell" were true. I am not a universalist yet but am getting closer to it all the time.
thank you for posting these important bible teachings. God bless you for standing up for the truth of WHO God is and His un-failing love toward His creation. Keep feeding the flock! (we are starving--lol)
The only people I've found who have a problem with universal salvation are self-righteous Christians who ACT like they don't want people to go to hell but are absolutely determined that it stands no matter if you show them the original languages, meanings, ancient Jewish understanding, earliest Christian understanding, internal evidence, logic, nature of Christ, doctrine of ages, defeat of death & so on. They also claim there's no reason to follow Christ then, revealing the truth in their heart.
@AllOtherNamesUsed "revealing the truth in their heart" meaning their true intentions are laid bare.
"For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart." Heb 4.12
"There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love." 1Jn 4.18
@AllOtherNamesUsed But this would be a natural conclusion to your false doctrine: there's no reason to follow Christ if after all, everyone is saved! There is the danger of this doctrine of demons (and that's what it is). The ungodly are destroyed, not changed. A few examples: 1 Corinthians 3:17 "If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy that person...:
Try and reconcile your doctrine with Matthew 25: 31-46, Revelation 20: 7-15
@mytube4f Christ uses parables in Mt25 w. Jewish idioms not pagan concepts of hell. "Everlasting" means age-lasting, Greek aion(ion). Similarly 'olam' is misconstrued as forever/everlasting/etc. see Lev 6.13.
Fire is a picture of spiritual judgement & purging sin (Isa4.4; 6.6-7) as in the sin offering, God is a consuming fire. Fire purifies as the lake of fire will in Rev20; cf Num16.46 vs Rev8.3-5. Flesh avails nothing, trial is of spirit/conscience: Rom12.20; 1Cor3.15; 1Pet4.12-13, Heb10.2.
@mytube4f As the temple was destroyed it was built back up. ALL are saved in their own order THROUGH CHRIST (not despite him). This does not mean all will escape judgement beforehand, but ALL will come to the truth & every knee will bow to the glory of God and confess him in their own time.
A natural conclusion to your antichrist doctrine would say there's no reason for Christ to sweat blood asking Father if he could pass the cup of wrath, because he already knew he would resurrect to glory.
@AllOtherNamesUsed You can continue to be a good disciple of the devil and proclaim his message if you want. But know that the Bible clearly spells doom and destruction to all those who do not obey CHRIST and die in their sin! Go read this and stop deceiving people and sending them to destruction: Matthew 25:31-46
May the Holy Spirit reveal the Truth to you and change your heart from this slippery path you are on!
@mytube4f Christ spoke parables using Jewish idioms in Mat25, NOT pagan concepts of endless incineration. Fire is symbolic of purification/sin-purging like the altar fire (Is6.6-7). Judgment+fire were often used together (Gehenna fire; Sod&Gom). Now S&G are not still burning, yet Jude v7 says it's an example of "eternal" (αἰωνίου, of the age/s) fire. Such translations are misleading.
1Pe4.12-13 serves an example of "fiery trial" as spiritual & harmonizes with Is4.4, judgment at end of the age.
@AllOtherNamesUsed No one is talking about internally burning fire here. I know GOD will not burn anyone forever and ever in a so-called hell... But clearly there are two groups in Mat 25, having 2 different rewards: 1 groupe inherits life forever, the other is destroyed forever. They are NOT purified by the fire, they are destroyed by it, burned to ashes forever, hence the everlasting aspect of the punishment.
1Pet4:12-13 is not about judgment but trials that Christians would face while alive!
@mytube4f So we agree that a) God does no 'burn' anyone non-stop for infinity & b) fire in scripture is used symbolically for judgement & not exclusive to combustion. We disagree on meaning of "eternal" & "for ever & ever." Those terms in the original languages refer to ages or indefinite periods, not infinity. For ever & ever is not 2 infinities. Again: Jude gives the example of Sodom&Gomorrah of judgement by "eternal fire." Jonah spoke of being in sheol "for ever" & it was only 3days(Jonah2.6)
I've come across all the accusations you talked about. That's all they ever do. They start rumors either because they don't like it or because they didn't study it...
Ah yes, that tired argument we keep hearing about Hitler. Sure, Hitler was a horrible sinner. But what person who ever walked this earth, apart from Christ, wasn't a sinner in need of grace? Does God show partiality? (Rom. 2:11)
Well don brother. Your message is one of the true gospel. Do not ever be distracted with those who disagree with you. Your words and understanding of scripture make good and honest sense.
Christian universalism ultimately teaches that God's law doesn't condemn sinners but actually cleanses them of their sins in the lake of fire. Apparently its Gods law that cleanses us from all unrighteousness and not the blood of Christ.
Universal salvation teaches: [1] God will use the great white throne judgment to beat the unrepentant wicked people into submission for as long as it takes in order to persuade them into believing he loves them. [2] The fiery law of God (lake of fire) can do what the atoning sacrifice of Christ couldn’t do. [2a] The wicked are saved by God’s law not by the blood of Jesus. [3] The wages of sin is major child abuse through God’s fiery law and not the 2nd final death which ends their existence.
#1potoo Universal salvation teaches: "[1] God will use the great white throne judgment to beat the unrepentant wicked people into submission for as long as it takes in order to persuade them into believing he loves them."
Eternal hell advocates believe that God used Satan to destroy a man's flesh that he might gain salvation. 1Cor 5:5). Eternal hell advocates believe God used the far country to cause the prodigal to "come to himself" and return to the Father's house. Luke15) cont.
Act 26:16-18 I Jesus have appeared unto thee for this purpose, to make thee a minister and a witness both of these things which thou hast seen, and of those things in the which I will appear unto thee; Delivering thee from the people, and from the Gentiles, unto whom now I send thee, To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.
#2 @ poto cont. So contrary to your assumption, Universalists really believe that God uses means (as you do) to bring men to Christ that they may be reconciled by the blood of His cross. Col 1:20)
#3 @potooth "[2] The fiery law of God (lake of fire) can do what the atoning sacrifice of Christ couldn’t do."
Using the same logic then EH advocates believe that delivering the fornicating man to Satan can do what the atoning sacrifice of Christ couldn’t do. No, The Lake Of Fire is the means God uses to ultimately bring men under the power of Christ's blood, just as the delivering to Satan was a means to an end.
Mat 7:13-14 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leads to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
Luk 13:23-24 Then said one unto him, Lord, are there few that be saved? AND HE SAID UNTO THEM, STRIVE TO ENTER IN AT THE STRAIT GATE: FOR MANY, I SAY UNTO YOU, WILL SEEK TO ENTER IN, AND SHALL NOT BE ABLE.
@salvationofall The Lord Jesus shall shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, in flaming fire taking VENGEANCE ON THEM THAT KNOW NOT GOD, AND THAT OBEY NOT THE GOSPEL OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST: WHO SHALL BE PUNISHED WITH EVERLASTING DESTRUCTION FROM THE PRESENCE OF THE LORD, AND FROM THE GLORY OF HIS POWER!! 2 Thessalonians 1:7-9.
@salvationofall Was sodom and gomorrah symbolic? Sodom and gorrorrah were two real cities destroyed by fire, fire and brimstone rained down from God out of heaven. Gen 19:24-25.
History will repeat itself. And fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them. Rev 20:9
I don't believe in pergutry, but i believe in the lake of fire, the judgment of God.
#4 @potooth "[3] The wages of sin is major child abuse through God’s fiery law and not the 2nd final death which ends their existence."
On the contrary, we have no problem with God's wages for sin. Shame on you for considering Him to be a child abuser. Where is the passage that states that the second death ends one's existence? Are you aware that death is destroyed? 1Cor 15:26) May I ask you "how" death is destroyed?
@salvationofall I apologize for my rude choice of language. As is true for most of the book of Revelation the language in Rev 20:14 is figurative. I believe it is saying mortality will no longer be the state of existence in the new heavens and earth. Death will no longer exist. Those who are in Christ will recieve the promise of eternal life. The only people who will inherit this promise are those who believed the truth (Jesus) and not the lie (Satan). Those who believed the lie will perish.
@potooth I believe God loves us enough to give us the freedom to believe what we want. He doesn’t force us to believe the truth against our will. Jesus said: The Spirit and the bride say, "Come!" And let him who hears say, "Come!" Whoever is thirsty, let him come; and whoever wishes, let him take the free gift of the water of life Rev 22:17. God is saying if you will, come to me. The wicked have absolutely no desire to come to Christ. Many say they don’t want or need him and go their own way.
@potoothPT.4 I have debated several people on these topics and so far no one at least to my satisfaction has been able to refute "the salvation of all." I do believe God has given us the ability to believe many things that are false, but according to Isaiah 26:9 when God's Judgements are in the earth the inhabitants will learn righteousness. God's Judgments will Remedy peoples false beliefs. See Pt.5
@salvationofall The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with the work of Satan displayed in all kinds of counterfeit miracles, signs and wonders, and in every sort of evil that deceives those who are perishing. They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved.
@salvationofall For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie and so that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness 2 Thes 2:9-12. I believe this is why Isaiah says the wicked will bow in shame because they will see they loved the lie and not the truth. The wicked went to their graves enraged against God Isaiah 45:23-25.
@potooth Pt.6 We don't undermine the cross we say the cross will save all thos whom it was intended to save ALL! Eternal hell advocates and Annhilationists (of the Arminian persuassion)say the cross will fail to save most of those whom it was intended to save. You folks have turned God's 1st Tim.2:4 into a weak wish that will be defeated by mans will, and free will puts man on the throne and renders God weak and impotent!
@salvationofall Their characters were never transformed by beholding Christ. Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit 2Cor 3:17,18.
@potooth Pt.5, There are so many different religions in the world even within Christianity most can not agree on how to interpret the bible,HELLO! they can't all be right! There is only one way not many ways! Seems sad that according to you God has given the people of the world the gift to believe all these false things and be deceived and receive Annhilation, that may be your idea of love but its not mine! U.R. teaches that All will be reconcilled thru the cross of Christ COL.1:20.see pt.6
@salvationofall Satan lied to Eve in the garden when he said she wouldn’t die (physically and spiritually) if she ate of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, Gen 3:4. God said she and Adam would die. In my opinion this same lie is being taught by many Churches today. The teaching that man is created with an immortal soul is not biblical.
@potooth Pt.3So if what you believe is true God has bought people into being knowing beforehand many will make unwise decisions that will bring Eternal death on them, again thats a weird way of showing love!? Also how does your belief in free will deal with the many Heathens who lived and died never hearing the Gospel? Where was their freeddom to choose Christ? Since they never heard of him. Annhillation leaves a lot to be desired.See PT.4
@salvationofall The teaching that says those who die in their sins will live is also unbiblical. Many in the Christian world believe unrepentant sinners will have a second chance to be saved during a presumed future 7 year tribulation period after the rapture. Satan wants to deceive us into believing we will not die the 2nd death if we don’t believe, trust and take God at his word. This lie that was first told in the garden is still alive and well today and millions are eating it up.
@potoothPt.2 Annhilation says that all die in Adam but only a few who made a wise free will decision will be made alive in Christ.Contradicts clear language of scripture. You also say God loves us enough to give us the freedom to believe what we want. God has foreknowledge he knows the end from the beginning and him giving man freedom to believe things that would bring Eternal death (your belief) on him would not be very loving. And whats worse he already knows how we are gonna choose, see Pt.3
@salvationofall Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell Matt 10:28. If God isn't going to destroy the total being of a wicked person after the great white throne judgment why be afraid of him? The strongs for fear can mean reverence, God doesn't motivate people to turn to him by frightening them. His goodness, forbearance and longsuffering is what motivates. Rom 2:4.
@potoothPt.1 1st Cor.15:26,says death will be destroyed. Annhilation which you believe is more merciful than Eternal Torment but it contradicts 1st Cor 15:26, because if most as you say receive eternal death than death could never really be destroyed because most of God's creation would be made dead. If death is destroyed what is the opposite of death? Think on that. Annhilation also contradicts 1st Cor.15:22 as in Adam all die even so in Christ will all be made alive. see Pt.2
1 Corinthians 4:5 Another nuclear bomb. But people who are in the church have been taught that when we give bread, they must run and counter our bread by feeding people rocks. Lazarus!! Go and give the rich man a glass of cold water to cool his tongue!! NOW!!
3 nuclear bombs Romans 3:3, Romans 11:32, and Romans 3:22......The church is trying to convince the world that 2+2=5 "Good news everyone!! Many will be lost!!" This equation can only balance in the mind of the self righteous. Eternal suffering alive in hell cannot possibly = good news and mercy.
@LambAndTheDragon According to orthodoxy few will at last find life. Most will suffer eternally. Even if the"few" make it, will not the "most" that don't (loved ones, friends) so effect the "few" so that there is no heaven for anyone?
@salvationofall I'm on your side man. You do believe all mankind will be saved right? What the few find is the true gospel that is finally brought to the world. It will be the world that brings truth to the church. They misinterpret "few."
@salvationofall No, I'm reading your comment again and I'm the one who misunderstood you. LOL! Sorry man. You were agreeing with me, and I'm so used to defending the truth, it went over my head. Another thought to ponder is even though they preach a false image of God now, the prodigal will return and there will be a party when they come home. We must not be jealous. LOL!
Great response brother! When I first clicked on your accent sounded so much like a televangelist my mum listens to! I think we should sneak you on christian radio. Before the people could tell the difference between you and the hell-fire-brimstone types, millions would have heard the good news! lol
Seriously, I find loving, reasonable responses like this so encouraging. Always remember to "not weary in doing good" and "if they persecute me they will persecute you."
@JaelSister So is this like the group that beleives that at some point all will be forgiven? Eh maybe we should becareful since some people might do whatever they want. But yes God isn't just a bipolar punisher, he created Humans, so perhaps there's hope, and yes there's no ill will in heaven, so Hitler won't be killing if is what that preacher said is true, God bless.
@QQMarkPS2 More to the point, we believe all will be saved. And not saved from hell but saved from sin. Meaning all will be saved from their own evil, from the evil of others and all will be transformed from darkness to light. TBH anyone who thinks they can just "do as they want" hasn't believed in God. For a believer knows that we are all to be judged and justice will be done. The message of God's love just made me care for my fellow man more than myself, Blessings
@salvationofall Well, I'm a Brit and TBH most American accents sound the same to me, lol. I'm working on a "resolving misunderstandings of christian universalism" myself at the moment, so I checked back in on this one for inspiration. It's even better on 2nd watch! I understand what your community was like with you all to well. When my parents found out I believe all will be saved they spent hours yelling at me about not mentioning my false gospel in their house. This walk can be a little lonely
1Cor:15:42 So also is the resurrection of the dead.it is sown in corruption: it is raised in incorruption.
43 it is sown in dishonor; it is raised in glory; it is sown in weakness, it is raised in power.

Are you calling Jesus a liar?

They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved.
potooth 1 year ago

Godallinall2 1 year ago

The teaching that man is created with an immortal soul is not biblical.
potooth 1 year ago

This lie that was first told in the garden is still alive and well today and millions are eating it up.
potooth 1 year ago

Rom 2:4.
potooth 1 year ago
@potoothPt.1 1st Cor.15:26,says death will be destroyed. Annhilation which you believe is more merciful than Eternal Torment but it contradicts 1st Cor 15:26, because if most as you say receive eternal death than death could never really be destroyed because most of God's creation would be made dead. If death is destroyed what is the opposite of death? Think on that. Annhilation also contradicts 1st Cor.15:22 as in Adam all die even so in Christ will all be made alive. see Pt.2

Last comment mispelled "messenger" as "messanger".
Yes those who misunderstand are angry and bewildered.
Their time will come to accept Jesus as the Saviour of the World.
The cross.
What a Saviour.
God all in all.

Be of good cheer.
Jesus has overcome the world just as He has said.
Blessings to you a faithful messanger of the gospel.
For there is no other Gospel
and as Paul has said those who preach another gospel will be" judged "that is corrected by punishment at and in God,s time.
The cross.....there is power in the blood of the cross.Remain faithful.
Those sent your way by God will hear and understand.
Be of good cheer.

1 Corinthians 4:5 Another nuclear bomb. But people who are in the church have been taught that when we give bread, they must run and counter our bread by feeding people rocks. Lazarus!! Go and give the rich man a glass of cold water to cool his tongue!! NOW!!
LambAndTheDragon 1 year ago
3 nuclear bombs Romans 3:3, Romans 11:32, and Romans 3:22......The church is trying to convince the world that 2+2=5 "Good news everyone!! Many will be lost!!" This equation can only balance in the mind of the self righteous. Eternal suffering alive in hell cannot possibly = good news and mercy.
LambAndTheDragon 1 year ago
@LambAndTheDragon According to orthodoxy few will at last find life. Most will suffer eternally. Even if the"few" make it, will not the "most" that don't (loved ones, friends) so effect the "few" so that there is no heaven for anyone?
Thank you for your comments.

@salvationofall I'm on your side man. You do believe all mankind will be saved right? What the few find is the true gospel that is finally brought to the world. It will be the world that brings truth to the church. They misinterpret "few."
Matthew 9:37
Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is [plenteous], but the {labourers are few;}

QQMarkPS2 1 year ago
@QQMarkPS2 More to the point, we believe all will be saved. And not saved from hell but saved from sin. Meaning all will be saved from their own evil, from the evil of others and all will be transformed from darkness to light. TBH anyone who thinks they can just "do as they want" hasn't believed in God. For a believer knows that we are all to be judged and justice will be done. The message of God's love just made me care for my fellow man more than myself, Blessings

@JaelSister I'm afraid to ask which televangelist I sounded like...:)
salvationofall 1 year ago
@salvationofall Well, I'm a Brit and TBH most American accents sound the same to me, lol. I'm working on a "resolving misunderstandings of christian universalism" myself at the moment, so I checked back in on this one for inspiration. It's even better on 2nd watch! I understand what your community was like with you all to well. When my parents found out I believe all will be saved they spent hours yelling at me about not mentioning my false gospel in their house. This walk can be a little lonely
