I think all the Magnums and Sonics looked fantastic but I have to say I'm not convinced with these new designs. It seems like they are grossly exaggerated versions of their very old versions, sort of like what cheap imitators try to sell. Seriously, it's not just Magnum or Sonic. Spin Axe Mk. II looks like a bloated version of the original, and Tridagger XX looks way too bulky.

Tamiya needs to kill its current model prototyping team. All the new cars look too fat, too bulky and lacks detail.

Blitzer Sonic was the best Sonice. Beat Magnum was the best Magnum.

Cyclone Magnum is the best. Still have it on my desk from 7 - 9 years ago.

can't say i like these cars... i preferred the older sabers and V series. these are merely rehashed versions of the originals with more curves and such. too bad tamiya doesnt produce old classics anymore, they were much more creative and nicer looking than what i am looking at now (e.g. avante X and manta ray mkII? they pale in comparison to the real mccoys)

Yeah, I find the newer designs are too gaudy and elaborate. The Thundershot MK II is quite good though.
