ARE YOU KIDDING ME. ive loved this movie since like jfgliuwrhgifhgalihliuvh forever and i also totally thought of this movie when i heard the song ahhhhh.
Deppressing song really, don't understand why this is so popular, maybe with music geeks-but they always like depressing music that doesn't do the listeners any favors. I would have thought this music would be going out of style by now, what with the depression we are in now
@PtAltmVansanTarr you idiot! you would rather listen to shallow, insignificant and monotonous music that most people listen to now days? and it's not "depressing music" it's meaningful, it actually has a reason. god i hate when people like you criticize other's music because it sounds depressing when you would rather listen to jolly, piece of shit, "catchy" music that's made only to create money.
Wow! Incredible insight regarding this video!! You know if someone as talented as Spike Jonze had almost the exact same vision with this song as you did, it sure says something. Over The Edge was a great film, this is a great song, yours was a great interpretation. Kudos.
@histoireducinema yeah, but in Spikes, there is an actual war going on, i feel like in that case it doesn't have to be pulled from "teenage emotion"
the two videos are similar, but there is what seems, an actual war in Spikes. honestly, i haven't seen Over the Edge, but it doesn't look like an actual war, just the war a rebellious teenager would fight (against parents and cops etc...)
@slowmatt321 When I saw Spike's video/movie, I started thinking of the experiences teenagers and young adults must have in places like the Middle East, China, Africa, and Russia that are heavily policed. Then for Spike to put that experience into Middle America is disconcerting and disturbing to me.
I'm uncertain if it cheapens my awareness of what is going on in the rest of the world or broadens its.
@basketcase5295 yeah i dont get it...which is the official one...the modern one..? apperently theres a short fil calle dthe Suburbs or some shit...im soo confused
that was actually pretty well done, though really you try to hard to match up the imagry, cutting to a shot of a parking lot at the mention of a parking lot is a bit corny, but really very well edited keep it up
It was pretty good. The one thing that didn't really work( well for me at least) was the characters mouthing the chorus. It seemed kinda clunky and distracting( I almost didn't want to finish the video). The ending was really good as was the rest of the video. You should have included The Suburbs Continued somehow. I'd like to see how that would workout. Overall nice job.
i grew up with this movie...it terrified me to become a teenager. i remember going to the mall with mom and seeing AC/DC and Pink Floyd graffiti on the walls and the teenagers in the halls with their long hair and muscles and i was just terrified.
That was underwhelming. I guess I set my expectations too high. My apologies to whatever deeply loyal fan I just offended. You're cine-graphically more talented than I'll ever be. I'm not sure what I expected this video to evoke or accomplish, but I'm sure I thought it would be somehow more. Keep on rockin in the free world though dude.

This is better than the Spike Jonze version. The violence follows more naturally out of the teenage emotions and social milieu.
