  • Incredible as usual but, I have to ask. How many basses do you own???

  • Ohhh i want that bass so bad haha

  • are you danish? I clearly hear something european in your acsent.

You are a great player btw!

  • Thanks, again, for the great video. I usually whistle, or hum basslines before I play them, or I whistle a tune, that I imagine would be some sort of brass instrument playing, get it in my head, and try and play bass behind that melody. I usually walk around the house whistling jazzy lines like a trumpet player, and I don't even notice it!

  • nice moustache ^^

  • maaaaaan i like this video hahhahah you are the best!

  • WHAT'S WITH THE MUSTACHE???

  • I cant remember the lick number of lick you use at 4.12...

    please tell me!!!

  • @conos1985 Its the "Slick lick", used by everybody;-) I dont have it as a dedicated lick number

  • @conos1985 Listen to "Shake" by the GAP BAND ;)

  • Your pretty much a white larry graham

  • Marlowe,in your opinion, what are the best sounding bass pick ups??

  • My summer resolution, one lick by Marlowe DK per week. Du er bare sej!

    Hilsen fra Prag

    Libor

  • Impresive as always! I wish I had a fraction of your skill and knowledge.

  • Your "larrygrahaming" process is almost done!! ;-)

  • Love the left hand muting Marlowe, an underused and probly not well known technique.

  • Loving the mustache!

  • Awesome video but its hard to hear what your saying

  • I should play bass instead of electric guitar

  • I got interested in the tc electronic head u are using. My problem is I can't find a place to test it out :/

  • But too low!!!

  • Actualy you have a pretty good voice! :)

  • @MarloweDK Thanks :)

  • i like your new mustache cut marlowe

  • jamessss broowwwn ayeeeeewwowow

  • turning black ;)

  • Hey, Marlowe. I know this is not the right video to ask you this, but is it possible to put a five string set from the fifth string on a four-string bass guitar? So your tuning is B-E-A-D. I'm into reggae so I don't use the fourth string to much but I want more low-end, but my parents won't allow me buying another bass and frankly, I haven't got the money, so I tought this might be an idea. Is it possible?

Thanks, and warm greetings from the Netherlands.

    Btw, I love your vids.

  • I would love to have this on my iPod and walk with an awesome attitude. Like a boss.

  • you look like a bull dog :D

  • Ah man! I couldn't hear :(

  • MF you.

  • hahah, you sound like a bass guitar when you sing xD awesome video : )

  • your the funkiest bass player on the internet :)

  • singing is important folks

  • I'm subscribed to you and I don't even play bass! I just love to listen to your music. I'm thinking of picking up a bass though, something relatively cheap. Do you have any suggestions? Have you heard of the Ibanez ATK200 because that's the one Im considering buying?

  • You are an incredible bass player and teacher. You mean a lot to my progress on the bass, I'm still a beginner but you helped me out a lot. What is a good way to what notes are on the frets? I kinda get lost sometimes when I know what fret to play but I don't know what note it represents.

  • 1 person does not want to give him that bass.

  • SOMEBODY GIVE HIM THAT BASS NAOW!!!!!!!

  • the roots from a good play

  • What kind of strings do you recommend for optimal sound?

  • alright can't someone just give him that bass

  • i've watched almost every lesson by you, and this is by far the best one

  • The Larry Graham 'stache suits you.

  • great video...also is that mustache an tribute to larry graham?

  • You didn't mention much about how the main lick went. You said the G minor pentatonic scale. But does that just mean you are running up the 1st 3rd 5th and 7th. Or are their ghost notes etc? I can't quite figure it out by ear.

    Really nice video btw!

  • How much was that rickenbacker?

  • Very good video as usual, my only regret would be that the volume is often a bit too low... Not that much of a problem, I can up my volume, but I often get startled when at the end I click on another vid. Don't know if you can help ip but that's only a detail anyway. Thanks for sharing your tips :)

  • @Hamtaahk You are rigth and i forgot to crank up the gain on this one too

  • @MarloweDK you should keep playing those rickenbockers

  • yea! Gimmie that bass!

  • marlowe what kind of string guage do you use?

  • @fenderbass15 45 - 105

  • @MarloweDK awesome bro thank you!!! keep on jammin greetings from Houston, Texas!!

  • @MarloweDK

Mind if I ask what brand/string? I'm a DR Lowrider user myself at the same gauge but always curious about what others use.

  • great exercise - you're right

  • Really funky! XD great bass
