Thanks, again, for the great video. I usually whistle, or hum basslines before I play them, or I whistle a tune, that I imagine would be some sort of brass instrument playing, get it in my head, and try and play bass behind that melody. I usually walk around the house whistling jazzy lines like a trumpet player, and I don't even notice it!
Hey, Marlowe. I know this is not the right video to ask you this, but is it possible to put a five string set from the fifth string on a four-string bass guitar? So your tuning is B-E-A-D. I'm into reggae so I don't use the fourth string to much but I want more low-end, but my parents won't allow me buying another bass and frankly, I haven't got the money, so I tought this might be an idea. Is it possible?
I'm subscribed to you and I don't even play bass! I just love to listen to your music. I'm thinking of picking up a bass though, something relatively cheap. Do you have any suggestions? Have you heard of the Ibanez ATK200 because that's the one Im considering buying?
You are an incredible bass player and teacher. You mean a lot to my progress on the bass, I'm still a beginner but you helped me out a lot. What is a good way to what notes are on the frets? I kinda get lost sometimes when I know what fret to play but I don't know what note it represents.
You didn't mention much about how the main lick went. You said the G minor pentatonic scale. But does that just mean you are running up the 1st 3rd 5th and 7th. Or are their ghost notes etc? I can't quite figure it out by ear.
Very good video as usual, my only regret would be that the volume is often a bit too low... Not that much of a problem, I can up my volume, but I often get startled when at the end I click on another vid. Don't know if you can help ip but that's only a detail anyway. Thanks for sharing your tips :)
