Sneak Peak of the Silhouette Cameo 12x12 Die Cutting Machine

If anyone here is still looking for that hard to find Silhouette Cameo, it can be found online at allbrands website and at kenssewingcenter website I know they're selling out in stores quickly but I have seen them at both of those! Just wanted to share :)

Yes! This machines works on a MAC OS. Sillouette has come out with a designer edition that will cut SVG files and more. But, although, MTC and SCAL are not officially supported by Silhouette, the SCAL software sites state that they can be used with the Cameo and the MTC site says that it supports Silhouette SD, but not the Cameo yet.

NO....I was told by the company that the Cameo WILL NOT work with MTC or SCAL. If I am wrong...please tell me.

Im interested in purchasing this machine, does it only cut to 12x12 or can you go 12x whatever length, im looking for something that cuts longer than 12 inches

YEP! Crafters are going to absolutely love this machine! It does cut the true 12x12 and is more quite than the original Silhouette SD.

@dankimforde Hi! Yes, the Silhouette Cameo is NEW and does cut 12x12 paper edge to edge. You can use either SCAL or MTC and it also comes with FREE software Silhouette Studio. Silhouette has some good information on their blog about the machine and will be posting more info over the next few months. We will also be updated our listing at FotoBella as we learn more. Fantastic!! I l knew it was supposed to be quieter than my Sil SD, but I had no idea it would be THAT MUCH quieter! (personally i don't mind the sound my Sil SD makes, but some people do)

I've only had my Sil about 2 months, and wish I'd waited, but no biggie

Oh, and for the poster that complained about using MTC with it.....Silhouette is releasing it's own Designer software which apparently has tons of design features for those who want something more involved like MTC is. It's $59.

Make the cut works with silhouette. I have the program and it works great with silhoette.

I wanted to purchase the Cameo but I won't be able to use it with the Make the cut program. that sucks

I got the Silhouette SD a few months ago. The machine is absolutely wonderful. I now consider it my starter machine. I will be buying the Silhouette Cameo because I can use my current Silhouette products with it. I love everything I have used from Silhouette so far.

I am SO excited about this!! I was just getting ready to buy my first Silhouette in the next week, but I'll definitely be waiting for this one to come out! How exciting!!
