  • This my shit!!

  • Comment removed

  • front on the drug market bodies get rolled up in a carpet

  • Damn, Kool G with his flow is rippin this.

Btw, check my channel! To tracks off of up coming mixtape!

    (click my channel!!). Upcoming MC!!

    Appreciate it!

  • YO I am lacking in G Rap's music. If I'm gonna get 2 or 3 G rap albums today which ones should they be? Same goes for Big Daddy Kane.

I like to think that I know my shit when it comes to hiphop (I do) but there is kinda a gaping hole in my rap history when it comes to G Rap and BDK

Hit me up w suggestions, 3 most necessary albums by either... maybe some old some new?

  • I'd like to hear those suggestions myself. I too am lacking rap from those particular artists during that particular scene in the early 90s.

  • 456

is all u need in my opinion

  • i let my tape rock until my tape popped

  • always find myself comin back to this one.

  • Yo the beat sounds kinda like a Paul Hardcastle jam.

  • ..I dont know why this video got less views than that soulja shit kids vid, man this shit right here is real tune, mothafuckas betta recognize ! Its too sad why them fuckin radios dont play real shitz these days...........Nas was right when he said "Radio and TV poison " in his song "What Goes Around" ........Real Real

  • Classic

  • Big Daddy Kane, Rakim, Ice Cube and KRS-One are the only MCs who can fuck with Kool G. They all legends. 1. Big Daddy Kane 2. Rakim 3. Ice Cube 4. Kool G Rap 5. KRS-One 6. 2Pac 7. Nas 8. Chuck D 9. Scarface 10. Kool Moe Dee (criminally underrated).
  • yo real shit g rap never got tha props he deserved i grue up a rocksteady member in tha 80" he was way ahead of his time like krs1, the r,guru just to name a few...

  • Oh my God, I still remember, Bless this guy for uploadin this joint.

  • EVERYBODY CHECK OUT THE REMIX n see if your view don't change even just a lil bit

  • Kool g Rap's flow on this joint is amazing, his lyrics fit perfectly with the beat. When you have Pun kiss your ring then you know your got mad Skillz.Kool G is really underrated to i think he is top 5 and i wouldnt complain if you put him at the head of any top emcees list

  • nas is the goat. no more needs to b said

  • New-york at it's best

  • kool g was the bomb in this one...

  • I'm a huge Nas fan but Kool G Rap was amazing in his first verse, pure fire. Nas came through, being this was in 95' off the 4,5,6 Album, Nas came through as that young rapper making a name for himself. Kool G Rap is one of the best, and Nas proved on this song he can hang with the best. This is why he's one of the best in the game today, if not the best.

Nas is better than Biggie my friends, one of the best east coast rappers ever.

  • Nas is better than Biggie and Kool G Rap is better than Tupac. Hell, if Nas and Kool G were killed, they'd be called the best right now.

  • i agree my man. dont get me wrong tupac and big are nasty and are definiely top 10, but i think nas, kool g rap, rakim, and KRS have the two of them beat

  • easily! no contest

  • if nas would pick better beats i agree with you, cause when i listen to big's album's i like every beat, and i mean every beat, but with nas the beat fucks it up sometimes

  • damn i miss those days(1995) there aren't any artists nowadays that do that back and forth ryhming. damn what happened to hiphop????????????

  • hiphop died! son......the 90s was the glory days! there is and end to everything ! ...

  • more shells in your top than adidas

  • this is in my rapps hall of fame as 3 best verses ever.

  • can you say what that thing is? Techs one of the best around, if not the best.

  • kool g rap and nas on a track together, you can't get any other result but lyrical perfection.

  • hiphop from the 90s and 80s I can relate with. todays music doent really talk about to much. so i just leave most of it alone

  • agreed.

  • i think immortal technque is still good

  • he could never fuck with g-rap on his worst day. nobody is fucking with g-rap except the gods from the late 80's/krs,guru, and rakim. thats it duke. nobody!

  • wut year is this from?

  • 1995

  • oh this a real classic then

  • Kool G Rap + Nas both in their prime, best collabo ever.

  • Yeah it is indeed the best collabo.

  • awesome these fools went hard... very raw and smooth at tha same time just as great as az and nas collabo

  • everyone still wears Chucks...

  • champagne wishes and caviar dreams

  • Yep..But u do know Pac and Nas made up..They had plans to work together..Pac and Nas both influenced each other..Outlawz grew up on Nas & Nas always calls Pac best along with him..

  • KOOL G RAP IN HIS PRIME , this album, 456, one of the best albums of the 90's

  • Word Up ,Classic Kool G.

  • G Rap's flow at 00:59-01:20.. god damn.

  • damn... g rap´s parts are just awesome...

    the king of rap

  • PPL forgot Kool G sad to see.((

  • shit ill bitch

  • This is the jam

  • G Rap ripped it.

  • have u ever played zelda? this reminds me nothing of it at all

  • i think hes talking about the flute or whatever...video-games are the mind-implosion

  • g rap is a lyrical god. nas had nice verse 2 dont sleep doe!

  • Man I feel like I'm listening to the radio 15 yrs ago rolling aroun in my Honda Accord..

I swear, just about everything on the radio was tolerable in those days. I miss them badly. : (

Parties, clubs (back when when they were dimly lit), music, cheap gas cigarettes and beer. Bill Clinton was Pres.Everyone was cool not competeing so damn much. Every thing was just fuckin fun.

I guess my kids are right, Just a grumpy old man at 33 yrs old. : P

But serious HH aint the same no more.

  • dude im 17 and i still agree..:(

  • Yes, thats cool. : )

  • lol same all the good rap is from the 80s and 90s nd i wasnt even around 4 most of it

  • shit im 25 i still remember hearing 2pac on POWER 105.9 ...most cats never heard dude when he was alive..back when ditch parties in l.a. had mad hoes..runnin from cops..dickie long shorts and chucks..when most rap wasnt even danceable..lol...when white people hated rap

  • HAHa, I still wear Chuck Taylors in the summer time.

We uesed to have ditch parties, too. Now you going ways back. :)

  • those were the days

  • Real Hip-Hop

  • Amen brother. Cant believe it.

  • nas tryin' his hardest to keep up with giancana. he was nice though.

  • he wasn't trying to sounded like it was all natural!!!!

  • classic song

lol nas with socks and bandana in sauna

  • G Rap was biggie before Biggie

  • These guys are the greatest duo since Pacino and De Niro. 187 all over this sick beat. Dis' some OG shit right here..

  • shit. Kool g rap got a tight flow

  • shittt

  • man koolg first verse killed this shit

  • A classic now this is Hip-Hop!!

    Damn miss those days....

Nasty Nas & Kool G. Rap now who thought we would eva hear that.!

and yea Nas is my hip-hop hero fuck "new" hip-hop it has no meaning.!

  • what got hookas wit heatas that will str8 pop you in yo shell toe addidas

  • no put more shells in your top then adidas

  • This shit was classic because of who these two MC's have become to Hip-Hop. But...Isn't it funny as hell to see Kool G Rap on a Treadmill wearin Tims? BWHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Hip-Hop!! Gotta love it!

  • co-sign. also funny: nas wearin' socks in the sauna. yes ;-)

  • Back when everybody pretended they were Scarface... The good ol' days

  • Kool g was the first to do that shit tho, he created mafioso rap ghostface and raekwon took it too another level

  • indeed

  • Comment removed

  • check 5th Element's remix for this

  • i love this shit. hiphop was so ill back then...its kinda sad

  • This jam was so ahead of it time!!! Ain't nuthin fuckin wit Poteent east coast hip hop. These was the glory days when real shit was comin' from the real places. Not the candy ass shit thats out now. These niggaz kept it gully. I'm from brooklyn, but Nas and Kool g came off proper on this joint. Yal betta neva forget, newyork gave the South and everybody else "the wheels to put they rims on" that they talk about in they candy ass raps.

  • G-Rap murderd this shit especially the first first GOT DAMN!you cant name no whole bunch of dudes that can do that shit son, specially not yall boy T.I yo keep it real, if he was form NY or up North nobody would buy that shit but since he's from the south people dont expect that much from him.somebody said T.I stepped up his game on this one but to me he still rhymes like dudes did 25 years ago you can almost always predict what he is gonna say that shit is juvenile.I aint hatin, get ur paper TIP

  • Thank you!

  • Mutha fucka read nd comprehend, my comment lines up 100% wit yurs.

  • BEST 2 To COME OUTTA QUEENS

  • never herd this shits dope

  • i'm trying to figure out what song this sampled off of.

  • Happy by Scarface

  • Surface's - Happy

  • CLASSIC! I FUCKIN LOVE THIS TRACK

  • This is like some Raekwon/Rick da ruler shit on Frozen. Love these collabs where they have that section where they go line for line. Hard man.

  • architect son

  • lol what Nas got on his head?

  • Both fallen off.....some of ya'll just really need not comment at all, really, just listen to classic shit, nd don't type anything.

  • Nas aint fallen off! Fuck outta here with that, his new album is nice.

  • yeah that shit was fire coming from kentucky in your bucket seats to fuck with me

  • neither has kool g typical nigga was sick

  • nas still got it

  • Anyone know what year this was made?

  • 1995, Great Year For Hip-Hop Dun...

  • 1995

  • CLASSIC!!!

  • Wish they could get together again and do a remix.

  • No I dont think that would be good, this song was made when they were both in their prime, since then they've both fallen off.

  • KGR- the greatest under-rated rapper

  • REAL QUEENZ NYC!!!!!!! MUZICK

  • LILMUMBZ-

remember that is your own opinion, it means nothing more than the next person...if people disagree with u it doesnt make them wrong

  • beatiful song

  • lupe is annoying....technique is dope, nas hasnt been dope since I Am, and biggie is dope, but but he aint the best! c'mon dawg 2 pac brenda's gotta baby, i aint mad atcha, dear momma, keep ya head up, life goes on, shorty wanna be a thug, and more, and he aint vivid?....take another listen!

  • Nas and Kool-G, all that could make this any better would be some AZ. And maybe Big-L =P

  • kool g rap was definately the one to lay down that style. I always give him credit for starting those guys off.

  • "Got Guns from Italy smoke trees considerably upstate and greene where all my niggas be "

  • i just have to finish all that with 7 movies before 25. Tupac is not my favorite but in my top 3 and recognized he helped pave the way. my favorite and always will be is AZ

  • I'm not in to west coast music but you have to remember neither was tupac. He had his own style still unmatched today. 2 pacalypse now was definately n.y style. me against the world classic. he hit so many different phases of life. brenda's got a baby, when my homie calls, keep your head up, me against the world, old school, dear mama had full grown tough guys crying, it ain't easy, picture me rollin, changes, untill the end of time, reaview and letter to my unborn. I could keep going.

  • man.....yall quit actin like as if yall were critics...everyone got there ups and downs, so say nothin cause all yall dont know what yall talkin bout most of the time. everyone needs to be heard, music is music and its just so unique..shhhhhh listen

  • AZ had the same flow as kool G on lifes a bitch....shit is a classic

  • ive never herd this guy before, hes good

  • 1. Rakim

    2. Nas

    3. Kool G Rap

    4. Big L

    5. Everyone else

  • Q-boro

  • This is one of the more underrated collabo tracks ever!!! 2 of Queens Finest!!

  • bone thugs rule this song is sick too. and 2pac is a really good rapper but he is ovverated cuz jagger mexican kids play him out 2 much. try to listen to other stuff besides biggie,2pac,bone thugs, eazy e, dr dre and snoop dogg. dont be boring ass bitches. oh yeah, that song thugs mansion, fuck it.

  • That boring shit is the best shit. Fuck all your Lil Wayne, kanye west nd all those bitches. Biggie, 2pac, Eazy E, Dr Dre, Snoop Nd Alot Of Others Are The Best Rap. Fuck Your Advice. Oh Yea, And Thugz Mansion - 2pac Didn't Write It Dickhead.

  • i was just sayin dat all the good rappers like pac, biggie, snoop are all too mainstream and played out dude, to the fullest.i dont even listen to wayne or kanye, that shit sucks!!its not even real rap its like pop.theres other really good rap by other rappers not just by pac, biggie etc.. u know wat i mean. where im from everybody plays them tha fuck out! its already boring az heell. but i know more about oldschool rap than many other guys, so dont trip lil kid!!no hard feelings doe

  • Lil Kid ? Fuck You Motherfucker

    No hard feelings doe ;-)

  • Westside is right... remember the dudes that made this shit what it is today... stop supporting ringtone bubblegum rappers

  • I'm happy somebody agrees with me on that.

    Unlike SugarBear83I

  • ahhh hell yea the good ol days when hip hop was good. not no gay ass 50 cent and t pain shit like nowdays

  • there is no best there are many great emcees but i would say that greatness is obtain by reailty and originality and not only white people listen to eminem that was stupid comment

  • kool g fuckin murders it, nas's part is pretty sick to tho

  • "you i got guns from itlay, smoke trees considerable, mid state and greens, seems where all my niggaz be" yall young niggaz dont know nuttin bout this i was 19 when this came out. real rap not hip hop that term is for commercial rap. fuck lil lame 100

  • the 1 that said enimem iz one of da best duz not know rap what about Big L,nas,biggie,2pac,jay-z,rakim,krs-one and all of them

  • How can eminem the most rounded mc ? all right he got some skills but he aint nowhere near my top10 list of mcs. Sorry but eminem is overated. if you look at his albums none of them stand out as classics and lyrically i think hes weak compared to nas, rakim,az but say if you compared eminem to say soulja boy then eminem would be a lyrical monster. Eminem is good but thats it nowadays the word great is used to often. jay z and nas are great. lil wayne and the game are not

  • Eminem is better than Jay Z, wats something lyrical Jay has sed since Blueprint, and even that album has flaws. Reasonable Doubt is the only album that was amazing by Jay.

I wouldnt say Em is the most well rounded but he deserves to be in people top, his expression, skill and delivery are all very original.

I dont believe Jay couldve ever sed some of the rhymes Eminem has sed, shit like his rhymes on BaD meets Evil or Criminal

  • You must be a white boy, only white people listen to emenem.... His albums gets sales because of all the white teens in the suburbs... I'm white too, but I'm just saying none of my black/spanish friends like emenem. He is soft, he talks about family issues and political shit, and he tries to be funny to much... I can't relate to him. BIG, Big L, Nas, bone thugs n' harmony, thats some shit I can all relate to. Only emenem song i ever liked was "rock bottom", b4 he got rich.

  • Eminem said it himself "if i was black, i woulda sold half" Thats the truth son. I agree that Jay-Z isn't good though. He bites everyone's shit and i just dont like his style, he's too clean cut, he aint dark or grimey enough for me. Never talks about anything but money, cars, clothes...

  • ur an idiot u dont noe music at all

  • why? cuz i dont like emenem's sof ass? Go fuck yourself everything i said is 100% true

  • hes soft because he talks about politics and family issues? so your saying Tupac was soft? by the way i dont like eminem

  • Tupac was soft, he had thug life tatted in his stomach, but wasn't a thug. His lyrics are weak anyways, he never makes anything flow with more than 2 syllables, its always 1 syllable. Fuck 2pac.

  • i agree and he is overrated

  • word, i doubt he would be able to to multi-syllablic rhymes like nas, rakim,az and rakim does it.

  • Thug Life = The Hurt U Give Little Infants Fucks Everyone

You obviously need to research your info before you make fun of the best rapper to live saying he got Thug Life tatted to him and he wasnt a Thug.. Dumb bitch

  • I dont need to research anything about the most over-rated rapper to ever live. He had no lyrical talent, period. You may want to research his lyrics and compare them to the real greats before making comments towards me calling me a dumb bitch. 2pac said he was a thug, and he wasn't, never really did any criminal activity at all. He just made mediocre music, and because there was no talent out west, he got big quickly... Ask anybody from the east coast and they'll set you straight.

  • this white racist bitch got his mums head cut off ae bo hahahahaha white shit white shit oh im sory 4 yr dad rapeing you wen you were young but hay its wot his daddy did to him he don't know no better n sory yr MUM wasnt a round to stop it hahahaha

  • Fuck! What's all that fuss with colors and geography?Take it easy with ur racism and judging people u've got no clue about! If u limit ur knowledge of hiphop to ur neighbourhood and color of skin, you're outdated man and just dont get hip hop...Stop hanging on to ur stereotype to find urself an identity! Quit all that shit

  • either that or hes smart with his work

  • Oh well I guess the assault charges he got in the early 90's for beating another rapper with a baseball bat wasn't really any criminal activities. The shooting those cops wasn't any either huh? I guess the couple fire are possessions wasn't anything either? Dude had others too but I'm not gonna name them. Besides it doesn't even matter about all that as long as what you rap about has meaning to it... By the way I like G Rap, Nas, AZ, Biggie, L, and Bumpy Knuckles as much as the next.

  • 2pac didnt need lyrical skills, he was respected and blew up cause, he could makes songs dealt with a variety of topics....he had more subject matter than alot of rappers, alot of rappers try to be hard, and than try to change their style up, and try to be softer. 2pac has his own style, nobody could do what he did, he appealed to alot of people cause he was different than alot of rappers....his story telling was vivd, he put alot into his vocals and flow, he was a powerful voice in hiphop!

  • his story telling wasn't that vivid.

  • most likely you never heard all of his shit!

  • i really have, he wasn't that vivid at all. not close to being as vivid as biggie, nas, immortal technique, or even lupe fiasco(listen to the track "the cool").

  • wow you are from phili, and your page is filled with shit from the west coast, what's wrong with you? You buy into that talentless garbage? No old school Biggie, Nas, Big L, Big Pun on your page. You got some problems man, stop listening to beats and pay more attention to lyrics, you may see where I'm coming from. 2pac couldn't make 3 syllable rhymes, let alone 2, his rhyming skills and everyone's on your page are so basic 1 syllable lines. It's predictable what they are gonna say next...

  • its because u like to hear nice word play, I agree man but just because you think that doesnt mean that everybody else who doesnt is wrong. Music is essence for any type of ears u feel me?

  • How can u even put Bone Thugs in the same company with Biggie and Big L?Bone fuckin sucks.

  • They're old school shit was alright, same with triple six mafia, they had some evil shit back in the day before they went soft. I like old school mobb deep, before they went to G-Unit. Nas's classic shit. Shyne is straight, can't wait for him to get outta prison. Gang Starr, Rakim etc... etc... I just can't stand the pussy-ness that's on the radios and in the clubs these days. The rap game is really going soft right now.

  • Biggie and Big L two of the best yet

  • this tracks got a westcoast vibe goin on

  • you mean the west coast has the vibes of this track this is a sample beat for beat, clap for clap, whistle for whistle, of surface's ONLY YOU CAN MAKE ME HAPPY heich came out in 86 NWA didnt come out until 89 which was the first west coast rap crew to put the west on the map.

  • ok thanks.

  • i love hip hop when they dont absolutely feel the need to say nigga

  • this my shit 4real!

  • Kool G;s wordplay was dope as fuck but Nas painted a more vivid picture. Em should be on everybodys Top5 as Post golder era emcee. He battles, punchlines, metaphors, dope concepts, hardest disses, annunciates, story tells. pound for pound Em is the most well rounded emcee ever

  • nas is my favorite rapper but g rap murks him on dis. dat first verse is just crazy. ILL FLOW. its like he doesnt even breathe. i dont know people are talking about em here. hes good but come no where close to dis mofo. he wipes the floor with him.

  • That 1st verse is insane. His multis are incredible.

  • whats wrong with nas' hairstyle at the beginning of the video between 0-5 seconds ?

  • lmao, that aint his hair, its a bandana

  • Nas said he was afriad to get on this track with G. I can see why, the first verse is just crazy. I dont think I've heard the entire song.
