@joel750 That is completely untrue. Cats are very grateful creatures and they show lots of affection when treated right. I've met many many very kind hearted and loving cats. My own included. Both my cats follow me everywhere, sleep with me, and if I shut the door to whatever room I've entered they'll both wait outside for me and the other one will cry outside the door. If I'm sad, they'll comfort me. Cats are grateful when treated right. I haven't watched this vid. Not sure about it...

@joel750 You're right, but seeing that cat dying gives me so much pain because I have a cat of the same age as that of the video, and accidents often occur because many things are not tri-fold remedy, but if it is in the posivilidad for help in good time, unfortunately in this case failed. It makes me sad but these things happen.
Very sad. My cat was also shot with a pellet gun. Joey died Dec. 6. 2011 of internal bleedings. He was 12 years old. What made it worse, I had to put my 18 year old cat Velvet to sleep just 6 months before. I miss them so much :-(
My friends cat had a blood clot in its back and he started HOWLING and couldn't move and my friend found him in the yard. The vet said he was just scared because he couldn't feel his legs, and that it sounded worse than it was because the cat couldn't feel anything and he freaked out cuz of that, he realistically advised putting the cat down as the cheapest most humane option, or they could do surgery but it would be expensive and may not work and the cat could have poor quality of life.
I'm sorry to tell you this but: We live on a very Cold world where some Human beings get their "High" by doing wrong, sick & twisted things to other human beings and animals.What scares me is that they are OUT THERE DRIVING w/ someone's Name on their bumper & they just got out of a bar DEAD-DRUNK and a disaster waiting to happen !!! @cyanidemaiden A lot of vets will tend to a cat for free if you tell them it's a feral cat & you don't own it. The humane society will likely not waste time or even have the facilities to help a cat in that bad of shape, althought that's not to say the vet wouldn't suggest putting it down, too. At least the poor thing is out of misery now. >^..^<

I am a lover of CATS and this video <\3. Growing up i had over 32 cats/ kittens. My dad shot one of my cats after he accidently ran him over to put it out of its miserably. i cried because i wanted him to take to the vet to try and save him.
I put my cat down once. Took him to the vet. I swear he looked at me and with his eyes he told me to put him down for good. So he died. Was an ugly dead. A bad dead. I should have done it myself, snapping his neck. Vet put a needle through his chest and it was a pain for him. Next time, I will do the job myself. If I have to go to hell to keep them from being in pain, so be it. I'll burn happy, with a freaking smile from ear to ear knowing I did the best I could.
Living in a farming community I have had to put down animals. I dont like using a gun if its a smaller animal since I think they know what it is. I hold them and pet them and then snap their neck. No pain and they die in comfort. Human societies do good work but I like an instant death.
I hate prolonging something. Thumbs down me if you like but I know a fast death without pain or fear. Purring and then silence is the way for them to go.

Mourn wisely, you can't save every life, but just because it is a cat and it's a stray does not mean no one cared for it. Sometimes it is better to put these beautiful animals to rest, but don't say this animal's life is not important. Just because you are higher in chain does not mean you look down on them. The humane society will likely not waste time or even have the facilities to help a cat in that bad of shape, althought that's not to say the vet wouldn't suggest putting it down, too. I understand if people may think this is wrong but personally i believe we should enforce the same legal punishment that we would on a crime against a human and apply it to animal abuse cases. ex. If you decide to beat a dog to death, you get life in prison without parole. You want to starve your cat because you thought it was funny...20 years solitary confinement. Guarantee the # of animal abuse cases would fall :-)

I put my cat down once. Took him to the vet. I swear he looked at me and with his eyes he told me to put him down for good. So he died. Was an ugly dead. A bad dead. I should have done it myself, snapping his neck. Vet put a needle through his chest and it was a pain for him. Next time, I will do the job myself. If I have to go to hell to keep them from being in pain, so be it. I'll burn happy, with a freaking smile from ear to ear knowing I did the best I could.

Living in a farming community I have had to put down animals. I dont like using a gun if its a smaller animal since I think they know what it is. I hold them and pet them and then snap their neck. No pain and they die in comfort. Human societies do good work but I like an instant death.
I hate prolonging something. Thumbs down me if you like but I know a fast death without pain or fear. Purring and then silence is the way for them to go.
