I'm surprised for Smallville they DID put the JSA in costumes. Look at how they screwed up characters like Doomsday or Brainiac where they just have normal looking people in regular street clothes....wow.

Angel in xmen had white wings, submariner has tiny white wings on ankles, red raven has red wings. Hawkman and Hawkgirl and suppose to have brown wings. Green Lantern ring looks crappy. I like the Dr. Fate and Sandman costumes at least close to what they are suppose to look like.

Hawkman's suppose to have brown wings, Angel in xmen has white wings. it was starman with star rod in comics but said star spangled kid on show but in comics he had no weapon and had no powers. Hawkman was in comics in 1940 the Angel in xmen in 1963. Solomon Grundy in 1940's hulk in 1960's. Ghost in 1940's red ghost in 1960's. Although Submariner 1939 predates aquaman and the human torch (android) predates sunboy and firelad of the legion of super heroes.

@nickcrocker7 On Smallville they didn't mention Star Man maybe in the comics he gave it to the Star Spangled kid and the kid gave it to Star Girl. In comic he made a belt that could do same thing so no longer needed the rod I think. However on show Star Man wasn't mentioned and she grabbed it from a police station after the adult former kid was killed by the son of the Icesicle, why the son didn't want the star weapon when he could have taken it after killing Star Man didn't make sense either.

Dr. Fate isn't that bad, as long as he stays in the shadows. Just seeing him in the lit room looks stupid, but if he's in the shadows or a dark room it looks pretty cool.

The mace is freaking ridiculous. Now really. It looks like a frekin' tooth pick. I needed to be bigger. More empowering. More threatening.

Dr. Fate looks like he never worked out, which is against the original concept. Stargirl's suit looks crappy and home made. The staff looks toy made. And her mask looks like her forehead is about to explode.

That's about all. And also, the GL's ring looks like it's a toy buzzer.

Come on people, get some more props and use graphics. They tend to help.

Hawkman's wings are too short... should be extended way down to his legs. Dr.Fate's Blue costume should be a lil bit dark blue. The darker the better. And Stargirl's mask is like her helmet on her forehead.

They came up with a soloution to that when the JSA re-emerged in the 60's. All Alan Scott has to do would be to put a shield around himself, and superheat the air to destroy the wood then bore his way out with a drill. Similar stuff has happened to hal Jordan during his yellow weakness years.

Johns' Legion episode was actually really good.

Stargirl was created in 1999 by Geoff Johns himself. I am very interested to see how he handles this.

Yeah! the costumes are not great, but take in consideration they don't have the money Green Arrow has, to make fancy costumes. In this reality, these costumes are meant to made from home and not by professionals. Spiderman is a good example! Was his costume great when it first came out? No! Why? cause he made it himself.

Off course! My point is that the costumes will get better over time on the show or as the series continues. The first costume Spiderman made on the comics was horrible, but he improved it over time. Well, lets hope they do improve the costumes over time.

oh that was not a dig at aquaman for fans it is that some color are hard to mesh together well such as purple and green which they do with the joker and lex luthor

Of course in origianl version impossibleman become color of whatever he turns into chrome metal, or yellow flowers brown beast from Fantastic Four number 11 I think, the more recent writers seemed to have never read the original though so new impossibleman stories his color doesn't change how did he lose his color changing power? Was it illiterate writers?

the superhero suit on smallville are fine but if they can make green arrow and aquaman whos color scheme is orange and green look attractive and cool, they can do stargirl much better in the same way.doctor fate costume i think they can do without a costume or at least a slight redesign given he is a older character as alan scott i would perfer to wild cat or jay garrick

The costumes look to be on the cheap side. Maybe because they only have a TV show budget. I'm not overly impressed with what I saw though. I kinda makes me realise why they didn't have costumes in the X-Men movies.

I hope these are concept costumes and are a loooong way off from production. I hope but my hopes aren't too high with this show. This show has come across to me as being really Bi-Polar.

I kinda wish this show got the writers that are on Supernatural. They snuk up and knocked that one out of the park with why the two brothers represent Michael and Lucifer.
