YouTube quality stinks. The 'flying thing' shows up only as a small 'orb'. Visits to the location and later radar releases reveal that it is a helicopter which took off from Andrews AFB and passed in front of the DT Hotel about 5 minutes prior to the impact event. This is the helicopter that witnesses reported to CNN seeing pass around the Pentagon before the explosion.

One thing to note. At the altitude that the supposed plane was flying 500 miles an hour is impossible. The atmosphere is too heavy down here and it would rip the plane to shreds. The air is thinner up high, thats why they gain serious altitude. If planes could do travel speeds they do at this altitude there would be no point in going to 30,000 feet!

actually those jets can do 500 mph at low altitudes just fine. Two reasons they don't: 1) because, as you said, the air is much "thinner" (i.e. less dense) at high altitudes, thus the aircraft experiences less drag and is therefore MUCH more fuel-efficient. 2) SAFETY!!!! You don't want these things criss-crossing right over our heads! Huge crash potential!!! This comes directly from my father, a jumbo jet pilot for over 20 years (and he has flown the same type of jet used on 9/11, the 757)
