Now see, I don't subscribe to the Global Warming Narrative, but I won't become a giant squid of anger because some or all of the stuff he talked about actually interested me. I think that even though I don't agree with his causes, his solutions are really really good. Silicon Crystals from bio-processes and hopefully a more efficient light bulb are all very good things, and I think that he's on the right track here.
@ultamatefrogmaster at this point the whole music thing was a hobby, but Hank said that one of his secret wishes was to be a rockstar (hence his make up faze xD ) soon he is made to do 'song wednesdays' which then produced accio deathly hallows and got him featured, and then hanks first album 'so jokes' was released in 2008 through his and Alan Lastufska's record label, dftba records.
@ultamatefrogmaster oh, sorry :( did you copy and paste it and put it in front of y o u t u b e . c o m ? if not just search on youtube this machine pwns n00bs video LP
I only find those types of things interesting when they're coming out of your lovely mouth. When I try to read them, like on ecogeek.org, for instance, it's not nearly as interesting. I like looking at your face, though. So, that may or may not have something to do with it... ;)
Hank, I remember visiting Ecogeek once, and I remember that, even though it's a website about environmentalism (which is usually filled with depressing newsbits and things sounding a bit like: "OH MY GOODNESS WE'RE ALL GOING TO DIE!111!!"), but you're site made me feel cool inside about all the cool environmental innovations going around.
Earth Hour was co-invented by Todd Sampson, the head of a huge advertising company Leo Burnett. It's main purpose was to show people just how easy it is to save power by turning off your lights. (just a little trivia for you)
I've heard about the sponges and their awesome silicon conversions! just one more reason why i think humans suck at chemistry compared to nature! there are plants in the rain forest that can make a super complicated organic molecule with zero waste, that takes people like a 20 step chemical reaction with a yield of only like 10%!
Yes, I realize I'm way late in responding to this video, but I've a new nerdfighter, and just saw this video today. Anyway...
DO THE PODCAST! In general, Americans don't care/realize how huge energy usage is and how toxic and dangerous it can be. This would be an AWESOME way to A- inform and B- keep the attention on the matter! Recycling for all!
i think that in the project of decreasing world suck, we (i gues people who watch these videos including hank and john) should figure out a way to MAKE the US government sign the Kyoto Agreement. what do you think?
I think not signing the kyoto protocol for Kevin Rudd (Australia's PM) was a way of being popular with as large a group as possible. He decided: 'We're not too sure about this, so we'll make our own commiments to the environment. This way everyones happy: The people who don't believe in climate and the people that do...'
The conference in Copenhagen seems to have been a major copout. So far it seems no agreement was reached. We REALLY need to agree so we cen decrease world suck significantly.
Whenever I hear about 2nd Life, I think about the episode of The Office in which Dwight talks about his 2nd Life. I think it's funny that the only difference between his lives is that he can fly in his 2nd Life.
hmm... it's the 2nd time I watched this video and it still bothers me: Why is my country allways to be flooded in these kind of scenerio's?
I mean I know we kind of live below sea level.......
but if there's anything dutch people turned out to be good at it's keeping water out (or even creating new land in the water: 'we' did palm island lol )
this is a matter that not only concerns our country but the entire world. this is not blabbing, this is what nerdfighters are all about. decreasing world suck levels/carbon levels. go get some awesome and pump it into your life, dicepticon.

When I was very young, and my mother was in college, she wrote a paper on the world of green money. As a child I laughed because I thought all money is green...and thought she was being silly. HOWEVER I am older and understand being green now. Not like Hank and John Green no I mean green like recycling. You v-blogs, and eco geek blogs bring light to a very important subject, and I'd like to say...thank you!
i think blacking out an urban high use area for a day is a good idea. kyoto (sp?) needs some revisments (ie not letting china, india and japan get away with murder) letting some away with stuff while others suffer economic strife is not fair. hope you read this.
