  • This is kind of a frivolous question, but does anyone know the name of the knot Giuliani used for his tie in this debate?

  • windsor

  • Ron Paul is the people's only choice!

  • Mike Huckabee..!!

    is the better

  • do you see the way ron paul is smiling and nodding his head at mccain? kinda fruity

  • Hey, Mccain, guess what, World war 2 was none of Americas buisness either. Why did the USA under Roosevelt gave weapons and money to massmurdering Stalins Soviets, even before they entered the War? All America did was giving half of Europe to the communists and being stuck with their ideology even in America until now. Hey, another great example of not working interventionism, John!

  • krafttakt, i hope you realize that if it wasnt for the united states' efforts in ww2, the world would have been taken over by communism? you cant just ignore the atrocities of the world and think it wont eventually be in our backyard. fighting the enemy over there is a lot better than fighting it here. ww2 none of our business? what mindset are you in?

  • Umm... we actually did give half of Europe to the USSR. And instead of "Communism" which would have collapsed on itself eventually anyhow, we put people like Saddam and Al Qaeda into power. And Castro. Look at some of the dictators we placed to fight "Communism." We involved ourselves at the correct time in WW2. Hitler came to power because the Germans wanted him to be there, learn some history.

  • oh what a sleaze bucket Romney is.....

I agree the division of speaking opportunities was bad, but at least we got to see the true sleaze of some of them.

  • McCain did only say "caused WWII", not the US entry. And yes with more US engagement into the Versailler Contract, there would have been no WWII. On the other hand, without interference in WWI (the ship was actualy shot by UK, not Germany), there would not have been a WWII or Hitler or Holocaust neither.

Most important is a CONSISTENT foreign policy and not a flip flop every 4 years.

As it can't go on as it is, Ron Paul is the best candidate, due to his credability.

  • "that kind of isolationism sir, is what caused WWII". What a MORONIC statement, read your history, isolationism is what kept us out of WWII until we were ATTACKED at Pearl Harbor. This attack on our soil is what UNITED the USA, bringing us to DECLARE war on the Axis. Hence going into Europe legally, as according to the Constitution. VOTE RON PAUL!

  • I loved the look and head shake Paul gave him when he said that

  • I love that dipshit booing.....what a fucking tard

  • 5 stars for Ron Paul

  • Vote Dr. Ron Paul 2008!!!

  • 5 middle fingers for ron paul. i think some of his ideas are good for the country, but he thinks a non-intervention type foreign policy is the way to go. does he realize that unless terrorism is neutralized, all of these ideas he has for the country wont matter, because terrorism, if allowed in this country, will negate all other efforts.

  • Son, you have A LOT of learning to do.

    Grow up. Think for yourself.

  • Son? lol who are you to call someone "son"?

Why don't you explain to us how you're suppose to protect your child against people that is constantly looking for opportunities to attack this country.

  • How are you going to stop some thug from stealing your car? How are you going to stop your thought of a kid from getting shot at school?

How do you identify a terrorist? You CANNOT isolate someone who sees themself, in their perspective, as a patriot. Are they in the wrong to harm our soldiers who are parading through their streets in THEIR country?

  • you can't be serious...You stop a thug from stealing your car by having alarm system. If your fear for your child's safety in school is so dramatic; why would you even let the child go to school? So obviously it does not concern you as much or else you would've home schooled the child. Identification of terrorist is an individual/group that practice harm among the innocent.

  • Alarm systems don't work because when you hear one go off, people tend to ignore them.

Your child could get shot on any random day by some emo kid cause they were touched when they were little and that kid just so happened to have a bad day.

What I am saying is if someone invaded our country to completely change our government (for better or worse) is it necessarily wrong for you to defend yourself against the other country's military whenever they use force againt you or your family?

  • I can know that there are many of those who turn away when they can call 911, but alarm is mostly for you to hear it. And for those that turns away when they can provide a helping hand that wouldn't cost them anything is truly selfish.

And you would still send your child to school even knowing that any day may be his last day.

  • Are you saying that the citizens of another country wants to hurt our soldiers, simply because we are there so terrorist groups can't continue to grow in the area? There is always a solution. I understand that different perspective bring different justice. No need to complicate things;just have to pick a side and stick with it.

  • Because we are there, it is common logic that a civilian defense force will continue to grow so long as we have a presence there; if you build it, they will come.

As Americans, it is so easy for us to label ourselves as good and them bad because hey, we're the fucking United States of America, and anyone who fucks with us, even while we occupy their country, is a terrorist.

See how easy it is to be politically incorrect? Grow up.

  • hahahaha... you just said above that one man's terrorist is another man' hero. So if I believe that we're fighting for our own survival or for whatever reasons that benefit us that is politically incorrect or immature?

  • Don't be a stereotype for thinking that all Americans recognize ourselves as global justice. Again people have their own perspective, but if you think taking action to protect ourselves even though it "may" bring fear to another country is injustice; then you're just an ignorant idealist.

  • I would hate to be thought of as a terrorist if I was defending my country, say, if Russia were decide to fight terrorism in the United States But with the inverse of that occurring in Iraq, we consequently see it as terrorism; but that is not to say that actual terror acts have not or are happening

We need to look at our foreign policy with the same perspective as though someone else were to use it against us.

  • It's a stupid suicide mission that gives no positive feed back, if you arm yourself with a few of your buddies to think that you can take on a military force. and just what are you defending? We don't attack schools or hospitals. We police their streets and even provide food there.

  • It's these groups of people who simply hate us because we have more power and how our past conflicts with theirs. We're trying to build a mutual and productive progress there. Most of the civilians want us there, their more functioning government want us there.

  • oh and betaomega, you think you can use the 1st worlds language to communicat with the 3rd worlds tongue? paper and ink against guns and knives? Your wishful milk and cookie theory does not works here.

  • mmk...here's this for a cookies and milk theory:

We went into Timmy's yard and broke his favorite swing. His big brother heard him crying and went outside and saw what we did. So he gets his other friends from inside slash the tires on our bikes. So while we're running home hoping we don't get beat up along the way, we have to find a way to tell mom and dad why we did that naughty thing in the first place.

That, people, is the war in Iraq in a nutshell.

  • You cannot "neutralize" terrorism. New groups form, for new reasons. The best way to deal with it is to stop creating the political tensions that lead to it. The US with its intervention policies is a large cause for terrorists to act on.

  • intervention in places that we have no business being in causes terrorism, genius

  • you are so ignorant. you think if we ignore the atrocities around the world and isolate ourselves, that we will be ok. thats what most people thought until 911. if you ignore whats going on worldwide this country will falter. do you know anything about economics and world trade? you're a pinhead, and o'rielly would put it.

  • I'm sickened by CNN's tactics. How can the American people learn about ALL the candidates when they did not get equal opportunity to speak? In term of speaking segments this is how it stacked up:

7 each for Tancredo and Hunter

    9 for Paul

    11 for Thompson

12 each for Huckabee and McCain

    19 for Romney

    20 for Giuliani

Once I figure out the actual airtime the unfairness will be even more stark!

This was not a debate. This was a biased ad campaign based upon CNN's choices.

  • it wouldn't be any better on any other network, use your brain
