Hey nice snakes. I have a Lereh yearling in the middle of color change. My question is how do you handle shedding problems? He never quite shed completely and I've sprayed him with Zoomed shedding aid which comes highly recommended. Is it ok to let it go until the next shed. The snake seems fine and eats well, also very gentle.
I think it might be a better idea to feed the snakes in a different container (not their main feeding quarters) so that you don't get the "feeding response" from them.
hey man i have to say you have some very nice chondros here. i was wondering where you have gotten these guys from. ive been wanting to get into them for years now and i finally have the cages and the money to do so. please any information would be amazing.
i had a burm retic and jungle carpet python the burmese and the reticulated got way to big way to fast i had to give them away and that retic was really mean.. but these green tree pythons always were one of the best looking pythons to me and i like the way they coil up high on branch im and they dont get so huge i wana buy one in the near future but there hard t find now days last i saw a few years back in th epet store they wanted $500 for a baby.. any ways really nice heathly pyhtons
hey tim...you were saying in the video that you didn't wanna get bit or try not to get bit...and you also said that you can handle them anytime and i have seen your video of you handling them ..even a fresh shed....my question is....when they coil up like that when you first open the tank....is it ok to just grab them? or is it usually better to take the whole perch out then try to get him off the perch? oh and i'm pretty sure "handalable" is not a word tim....hahaha
With all of mine you must first let them know that you are not food. The best ways to let them know that is to either remove the perch, give them a touch with a hook or give them a small pray of water. After that, they are fine.
thanks tim...I think I'm gonna have to just accept the fact that my GTP doesn't like me..hahaha cuz i've tried all that and he will repeatedly strike at me. I've tried to get him used to me by holding him with gloves about every other day for about a month now....thanks again for the quick response
gloves and hands feel and are much different, the snake sences heat differently between the two, the best thing to do is to is to handle them without gloves and just take the bite, eventually they will tame up a bit
Jacob, I don't know if i'm the right person to ask that question but i will give you a quick opinion. I believe we have come to a fairly balanced point as far as the cost of truly CBB Chondros. I can't see anyone selling animals cheaper than the range we currently see with all the preparation and dedication that goes into breeding these fantastic animals. IMO this is a good thing. Thanks for watching and sorry i didn't get back sooner
Ah, I see! Me personally, I do plan to take a shot at breeding. To be honest with you, I'm just taking it one step at a time as i do with all new things. I don't have any plans to buy anymore chondros until i see how this project turns out. There is no doubt in my mind that I will always have chondros around me as i have fell in love with these little guys. My success in breeding is still to be determined and will play a major roll in my future in this hobby.
Cool! I see what you mean, some people have had crappy luck with chondros (Julian) so I can see where your coming from. However it seems success is actually pretty high with these guys. I like your ball pythons, nice little pastel youve got there.

Great opinions Tim I share the same. But I think you misunderstood me, I meant what are your breeding plans and what animals do you plan to buy.
