hey, can you send me a link to the 1.3.0 verson of this, i downloaded this and my game didnt work, and i forgot to make a backup so now i have re-installed the game and i would like to try this out, it looks cool :)

Yeah same version here, it doesn't work for 1.3.0 I would really like a fix for this, and would love the dev menu for version - 1.3.0, my dead island crashed for this one, and I fixed it but I still want the dev menu. Please and thank you.

does this work with v1.2.0? plz help, because i changed debugconfdefault.scr in Data0 and it corrupted my game. i mean, the game wouldn't start up at all, and when i double clicked the dead island icon again, it says "dead island is already running"

@peppoonline nobody made this. It is not a mod, the game creators put this in the game to test all of the things they put in it to make sure everything is working properly(and also for fun). Most games make it very difficult to get into it, but dead island is not that hard. I have a vid on my channel showing how to get in it(if you want to) Im not for sure if it will work on your version but always make a backup. Enjoy

Try this:

Open the DI/Data0.pak file with WinRar. to do this select properties on the Data0.pak, look for Opens With: change that to Winrar.

Within WinRAR, find and rename the debugconfdefault.scr to debugconf.scr, you do not need to extract the file to rename it.

Run the game, load a save game and press ESC. You should see the Developer Menu List at the bottom of the pause screen.

i got it to work and its preety simple do exactly as he does and it should work fine and its a really useful tool but dont activate things u dont know cuz it will ruin ur story line and to the creator of the video hey dude can u tell me how u increased the damage on ur weapon so much? thanks it would be very helpful

I have tried alot of things to get this to work, I have renamed files, I have changed alot of the lines within some, I have tried changing the keybinds to open the dev menu, but everything I do just causes the game to crash. I even tried changing the xp per zombie kill, just 1 number, that did the same thing, it's like the game is checking the memory, what version of the game are you playing on? Because I am on 1.2

also tried swapping the SCR files makes game not start

to activate the developer menu,just open the game folder,an go to DI Folder,open the pack0 with winrar and rename the dile debugconfigdefault.csr to debugconfig.csr and now u have the dev menu =)

the more description you give, the more people can help. if you are serious about getting this to work BE very detailed. What version are you running? What error do you have? no detail = no developer mode.
