  • 48:50 "This (Britain) was the final battle for the future of European Civilization"

Centralized (fascist) Rome v. Decentralized (libertarian) Celts

  • Fu%$in Roman scumbags...a glorious day when Rome took her last fu%$in breath, allowing freedom to reign once again across the world.

  • @RideMyBMW few hundred more years and your statement will be the same for america.

  • @fisttaface Only in a World Cup friendly.

  • how the hell did the Romans move 70 tons of gold without some sort of public uprising? seeing how Caesar was separate from the main council and only a governor you could see how that much plunder could be a little bit of a problem with other generals wanting to get in on the loot or even the council them selves. they must have gotten word of it some how seeing how the council was corrupt as it is but also had a great message system to get word across something just doesn't add up.

  • Romans were still cooler. And Gladiator is still a good movie, too.

    Starring Russell Crowe.

  • @afterapplepicking You are a moron.

  • @afterapplepicking Yes that was a good movie but, that besides the point of the video you dumb ass the whole point was to show how full of BS Caesar was and that he only sacked them for political reason some what similar to hitter with the genocide of the Jews but, i digress the point is to unlock the history of old clouded by lies of the victor and to uncover the truth of what happened and not that some movie made up as action thriller when really there was only one in depth recorded fight.

  • The people who do these vids are masters of getting video and audio out of sync.

  • How can the Celts be primitive, when they built for example stone henge 3000 years ago or so, if you don't even know how they did it?

  • @abacusTMe its false !! everyone thats not black, jewish or roman ( roman cuz they killed jesus) are primitive barbarians ! the jews wont dare to say somthing good about gentiles that are a threat

  • @MrBalkanSoldier

Eeerm, who are you? And what the hell are you talking about??

  • @MrBalkanSoldier serious dude first off have u seen Africa is at least 90% 3rd world country filled with aboriginals living as border line cave men and Jews aren't even a race its religion formed out in the middle of some dried up desert and there aren't any Romans left so your saying every one else, but a empire lost to the ages, a bunch of tribal men wearing loincloths and a religion that has been put into slave labor for 1000's of years are civilized?

  • Some people don't consider Gold as a Rich product as much as an easy metal to play with.

  • @resculptit actually that's more accurate then it sounds actually at that time salt it self sold for equal to that of gold and seasonings were also sold for great amounts but gold was also very valuable and in Caesar had a great deal of gold after his campaign but actually its not an easy metal to play with its a very dense metal and could prove some what difficulty in use but it could last the time seeing how it never rusts and the metal it self is quiet beautiful when turn into art.

  • I completely HATE it when these historians say hypothetical things as facts. They should say, "I would guess. . ." The RE-creation of what they THINK is their fabrics worn by who they THINK were important people of the time - is B.S. Remnents of a bygone civilization will most likely be the every day people - not the Rich & Famous of the bunch. When they say this or that IS For some specific thing - that's where they lose me with their theories. IF they were to say a simple Maybe? Well maybe.

  • @resculptit Well they can't very well go back there and watch every little event with there own eyes and also its more likely they will find rich & famous people artifacts than the every day common guy because, they were more then likely better preserved with there goods in private or family crypts of some sort as in most cutlers. so you can see how this could be frustrating but with 2000 year old artifacts you can see were its kind of hard to put things together correctly like the calendar.

  • no top comment? thumbs up for this one.

  • The Frisian languages are a closely related group of Germanic languages, spoken by about 500,000 members of Frisian ethnic groups, who live on the southern fringes of the North Sea in the Netherlands and Germany.

  • The Frisian languages are the second closest related living European languages to English, after Scots. However, modern English and Frisian are mostly unintelligible to each other. Frisian languages bear similarities to Low German, Dutch (from which many Frisian words have been borrowed) and Danish, and Danish speakers are able to understand some spoken Frisian.

  • @etornel79 Etymology

The word beef is from Latin bovīnus (cognate to beef), in contrast to cow, which is from Middle English "cou" (both words have the same Indo-European root *gʷou-).

  • After the Norman Conquest, the French-speaking nobles who ruled England naturally used French words to refer to the meats they were served. Thus various Anglo-Saxon words were used for the animal (such as nēat, or cu for adult females) by the peasants, but the meat was called boef (ox) (Modern French boeuf) by the French nobles —who did not often deal with the live animal—

  • when it was served to them.

This is one example of the common English dichotomy between the words for animals (with largely Germanic origins) and their meat (with Romanic origins) that is also found in such English word-pairs as pig/pork and sheep/mutton.

  • @MrBillcale lol rome never ruled the world. the han dynasty in china was just as big and even more powerful and advanced. rome is one of the most overated civilizations in history

  • @OriginalBlace rome ruled the important parts of the world and i give it ten years before the germans are stomping the crasp out of the commie chinese

  • @MrBillcale dude the han dynasty china was existing at the same time as rome, and was just as big and more powerful. they ruled asia which was and still is an important part of the world. also they failed to conquer persia a number of times. one of the emperors was even taken prisoner by the persians and turned into a pet and then stuffed and put on display after he died.

  • @OriginalBlace yeah yeah i saw terry jones bbc programs too..i'm eurocentric europe rulz sue me

  • @OriginalBlace

Did it escape you that Persians were an Aryan (branch of the Indo-European) people? I always get a laugh when people brag about foreign non-western civilizations like India and Persia not realizing who created those nations. The great I-E people of course.
