  • w a song yar , the drum is awsum in this song n Runa Laila sang it very well....... Love from Pakistan...........

  • runa laila is a great singer but please do not compare her to noor jahan...noor jahan is a legend with songs going over 40 years......noor jahan was a actress, singer in urdu, hindu and punjabi songs...just see the super hits she sang then you will appreciate her class

  • beautifuil

  • Runa Laila is a wonderful singer of present and of past. However those who are making comparisons between her and Noor Jahan, let me suggest that you ask this from Runa Laila herself.

As far as languages are concerned, Noor Jahan sang in Urdu, Hindi and Punjabi languages. However, number of languages on knows or can sing is not the criteria

  • bungalis are our brother and sister .... we love you ...... we love runa laila...

  • Beautiful, excellent and very cool song.We proud of that lengend of Pakistan Film industry.

  • If u ask Rona Lila she like Pakistan n India more than Bangla. This is Pakistan who made Rona lila, Rona lila. So shut up bangla no 1.

  • never mind pakistsn or bd she is ours .coz we r muslim brotherin.ok.(bangla bhai)

  • Orchestra is very poor :(

  • You are comparing Madame Noorjehan to Runa Laila- This is frivolous at best- Look at their individual bodies of work. First of all the comparison is moronic, and furthermore Madame Noorjehan is a legend, lata, asha, naushad all touch her feet upon admittance on stage.

  • Amazing how she sang it in 1968 as per description.. 2 years before the release of movie Anjuman whos song shes singing here..mazhar dk says about movie Anjuman

    Released on:

    July 31, 1970

Plz tell us if mazhar dk is wrong?

  • and thanks asif for posting this nice clip of runa....u know we all r runas fan...but wr not fanatic...lol

  • @no1bangladeshi : tnx to u. i think even the atomic energy will have less worth when its runa laila....and @Asif410: tnx to u also for uploading this so i have had the chance to listen this......

  • @asif.......im not talkin abt any contoversy....im talking abt ur desrciption u gave abt runa laila...she may be 2nd,3rd or nothing at all in pakistan but everybody knows that she is 1 of the rare singers who has the power to rule subcontinental music....if u cant sing in other's language then u cant calim ur self the best.yes u may be best in your region...but not as universal

  • Runa Laila can sing in Bangla, Urdu, Hindi as we as arabic, where as Nur Jahan can sing only in urdu, Runa is the best singer in Bangladesh as well as famous in india and pakistan...so who is the no1?

  • no1bangladeshi:

keep ur short sighted comments to ur self no need to compare

also before write some thing knows the facts

ur comments shows you have no idea what are you talking about you are just high on nationalism

    so no more this ok

come to my channel watch any song if you like it praise the singer and thank me if you like for uploading and leave

no need for these silly and controversial comments thnx.

  • I have lived in Bangladesh, I have Bangladeshi friends, just like I have Behari and U P friends. You will find lot of racist people among them. I have been a student of music in Lahore and some of my teachers were music directors. This song in question is sung nicely by Runa Laila, but the credit goes to the Legendry Music Director Late Nisar Bazmi Shahib. He created this master piece tune and orchastration which makes this song great. We will always miss him in Lahore.

  • @Asif410

Noor Jahan has sung in Punjabi too.

  • @no1bangladeshi .... Runa Laila Ager 7 Jaman be Gaye tab Be Noor Jahan Nahin Ban Sakti .......... Noor Jahan Ek Thi or Rahay Ge ... Ager Yaqeen Nahin toh Khud Runa Laila se Puch Lo...

  • @Aamie352008 please do not make comparison between Madam Noor Jahan and Roona laila jee..they both are fantastic and genuine singers but however Madam Noor jahan was more good singer because Lata jee,Asha jee,Sir Mehdi Hassan,Roona laila highly praised her..

  • @Aamie352008 This is another point that Madam has not maintain her popularity and memorable songs and she sang with only few talented composers in her last age..whereas lata, roona, asha has musicians like A.R Rehman,R.D.Burman,Laxmikant pyarelal etc but Pakistan has also great legend musicians such as Khwaja Khurshid Anwar,Rashid atre,Nisar bazmi,M.Ashraf,Sohail rana etc..

  • @69sakibkhan I AM A BENGALI. I AGREE

  • @no1bangladeshi

Yes of course runa laila is best singer. But we should not create hate on you tube. We pakistani still love bangladesh because it was part of our country and a muslim country. Long live bangladesh and long live pakistan

  • india proposed to open deadly farakka dame in exchange of her, and pakistan proposed to build 10 university like Dhaka university(oxford of the east) in bangladesh, but all these things didnt seem more worthy than Runa Laila to us. we never sell our culture for money rather we r ready to die if it its needed.

  • @no1bangladeshi

Exactly from you heard that India and Pakistan proposed those things in exchange of Runa Laila?

  • She is the great singer for the world ........

  • was this 2008 or 1998

  • did she leave for bangladesh....?

  • Runa Laila is Great Unfortunately Pakistan lost her.

    Fahad (Karachi ) Amsterdam

  • Bangladesh's asset.

  • did she leave for bangladesh....?
