  • You go, Mr. Bass Man.

  • black kids should look up to these guys not lil wayne. When people say black people only make shit music they obviously don't know shit. They own at jazz

  • There's nothing worse than people tapping their hands when they should be dancing! Get up and dance people, dance, dance!

I promise Louis Armstrong i'll dance next time time i'm in such a situation.

  • not quite a mosh pit...

    Fun song on trombone though.

  • when the trombone player came in i was like "OH SNAP ITS MLK!!" lol

  • u think you need to stand, dance, move on those performances

  • I don't think music could be any better.

  • love the banjo piano and brass

  • such an amazing show..awesome Jazz!!

  • Briliant!

  • There should have been a huge dance floor in the centre of the hall. You can't listen to this kind of music sitting down!

  • I love it.

    It's so good !!!

    5 stars !!!!

    Paul Zelders (zelde025)

see you there whoever the fuck you are.

  • ill be the one with long hair

  • @seemannjacob I suspect you won't be the only one

  • how are some of the people in that audience just sitting still, are they alive, or are they deaf?

  • Ahí queda eso

  • Ma-ra-vi-lho-so

  • The best thing about the video is seeing that every face in the audience was smiling.

  • what a treat for the ears & heart

  • wonderful, rich, swinging music, what you hear when these cats play is a lifetime of honing their art...

always think this music should be heard in a club environment, not concert hall. if i'd had a few drinks and this band struck up, i'd be on my feet dancing like a fool

  • I agree! It's such a shame all those people have to sit down!

  • @IndependentGeorge76

I wouldn't need the drinks. My toe would already be tappin' and I'd try to hop up with 'em on my acoustic guitar.

  • WoW i Always Love Jazz Specially Live

  • Remembering Alan Jaffe, a Mensch.

  • che mostri....

  • Narvin Kimball was a wonderful left handed Banjo player with this band. I fashioned my banjo playing after him. When the Preservation hall dixieland band played in the preformingarts center in Tampa,Fl. I Played tenor banjo with tis band in front of 8,000 people. That made my life....JOHN MEKSA

  • take your racism somewhere else loser

  • Grande swing !! Grande Cuore !! Grazie !

  • My goodness what a thrilling performance! And to think most summer nights the streets of New Orleans were awash in these exciting sounds - a person could take it all in strolling from club to club. Especially great solos from Arvell Shaw and the pianist (name?). Hot band!

  • After listening to these guys I am now an EX rock fan. This is great stuff, what have I been missing.

  • what song it is?

i mean, which song of hindustan?

  • Hindustan, where we stopped our tired caravan,

Hindustan, where the painted peacock proudly spreads his fan,

Hindustan, where the purple sun bird flashes across the sand,

Hindustan, where I met her hand and the world began.

Composed by Oliver Wallace and Harold Weeks in 1917 or 1918, not a Hindustani song, but a standard for trad jazz-bands.

  • why did you put bourbon street on the tags? preservation hall isn't on bourbon, it's next to pat obrien's... 726 peter street, and the 6 was missing when i went there...

  • May see these guys in June (Irvine), but where can I get the tickets?

  • Musicians can't be taught this. It resides in the very fiber of the being. It is music that is as spontaneous as the heart beat. It's about you, then you, then you, then us. It's as though the lives, the pains, and the triumphs of men merge into music. Dixie Land music is a catharsis of the southern soul.

  • Very well said.

  • Really good job. But it doesn't do justice to watching them live at Preservation Hall in New Orleans. Only $10 a person every Sat and some Sundays/Fridays from 8pm-11pm. And no, I'm not their marketing manager.. :) ...I saw them live this past weekend and the band they featured (differs each day) was great!

  • saint james and liza jane my favs. this is fourth after tiger rag

  • I'm happy.

    Hindustan is my favoriten number!!!!
