  • this is really cool, I would like to use it for my GCSE graphic can I use it as inspiration?

  • @favourolly1997 Yes, feel free to use it for any kind of personal or educational project.

  • @clide8 Thank you so much :-)

  • this doesnt work with plain paper...i just wasted so much time....

  • @NICKTHEHUTT Sorry you ended up wasting your time. The paper does have to be quite thick to support the mechanism. I use a .014" paper which is pretty thick. Kinda between the thickness of the cover of a paperback book and a cereal box.

  • @clide8 Hey, no your right, it has to more ridgid to take the turning forces. I'll look into some card tomorrow. i got the paper one to work but its quite fragile in he sense that the folds might come out at any time. cant wait to try it with some card, pretty cool design, u design it yourself?

  • @NICKTHEHUTT Yep, designed it myself.

  • @clide8 cool, any other variations?

  • @NICKTHEHUTT I have the business card size and also the business card size with 4 leafs instead of just 3. (you can find those by clicking on my username on the Thingiverse page. Someone on Instructables also made a variation with 8 little tiny leafs to make it look just like the 'Aperture Science' logo from 'Portal'.

  • @clide8 they look cool man, i look forward to seeing your new designs.

  • How would I go about making my own kit? I would like to make my own designs.

  • @eduardoherrera1974 I wrote a lengthy reply on the Thingiverse page. Hope it helps.
