Anybody have any idea where to get the music piece she used for this SP? I asked a friend of mine over in Japan but he said he himself have doubts whether he'd be able to find the piece. From WIki I know the song is entitled "Yotei no Matsuri" by Yasuhiro Sakurada, but I don't seem to be able to get anything from it... Anyone? Btw, absolutely stunning performance. IMHO, she should have been awarded with a medal on the podium during that Olympics, bronze if not silver or gold, perfect skate!
Yes a friend of mine who lives in Japan said the same thing as well. Yeah so I guess all I get to hear/ or have would just be from this recording :) regardless of that, still, i cant stop watching this! She's amazing in this program! :D
She was not only one of the best in women´s competition in history, she was THE BEST, ever! Such ease in the jumps, incredible rotation, she was incredible! Which girl was able to show such jumps with such ease? Nobody! If figures hadn´t existed in the past, the rest wouldn´t have had any chance to beat her, I think she would have won nearly all competitions! Midori was a gift for us and for the ISU. No wonder that she had the nickname: Tsunami girl! One word: Legend!
Even after 20 years later I am amazed at how superior Midori's technical elements were.
How good is the opening "Tano 2 Lutz...watch the entry speed into the 2Loop/3 loop..tremendous elevation & the distance.
All of her spins are what I call "power Spins"
So many of us talk about how great a jumper Midori was but I loved her..layback..camel into a back-camel.. into a back sit spin..huge flying sit spin..power straight line steps and the ending counter turn into the 2 axel..the Best !

i hate figures...i wish it never had been part of figure skating judging or wish it were a completely separate discipline from figure skating

clearly she should have won the SP.

@will74lsn This was the 80's, and unfortunately, at that time reputation and paying one's dues played a part in the judging.

最後の出口間違えたところに居た青と白の衣裳の選手にゲンコツされるトコを見ると、他の選手にも好かれていたのかなと思わせる☆

楽しそうに演技しているのもいいけど
最後に出口を間違うところも面白くていい

I love how, at the end, all Peggy can say is "WOW."

i've heard this was written specifically for her?? (in which case, it'd be almost impossible to get hold of) ...i'm not sure though.

yngtxtopbear. I agree with you. But I would like to give her gold medal at these games.

Ito definately should have gotten the silver medal at these games at least!

one of the best short programs ever. and most definitely the best double axel ever.

I totally see what you mean by saying hers was the best double axel! The height, rotations, and hang time are unmatched!

And that double-triple loop combo - wow!

@puaalaaumoe She did at least 8 of them in the warmup, one after the other, flawlessly.
