    - Guru Nanak Dev Ji (SGGS, Pg. 1412)

  • very nice. WaheGuru.

  • in these days we r buildin more and more gurudawares in canada uk us au eu etc, but we dont look after our historical places, even these all baba's and sant's they go to the places where there r already a lot of sikhs, i dont think, they r doin anything 4 religion. i think the money we spend on building gurudawaras in abroad that are useless, this is cause more fights conflict between differnt sikh parties, we take off our own people turban in the presence of gurugranth sahib how good is that?

  • Thanks to youtube for posting this great clip of Guru Nanakji.

  • DHAN GURU NANAK...TU HI NIRANKAR....

  • do good deeds people and god will lead you to meet the guru and guru will unite you with god once united with god you will never be separated again like cup of water mixed into the sea and you will lack nothing ssa

  • There is no such thing as "God's"

It's now 2010, get a grip! It was fine for people to believe in religion and all that other bullshit back in the olden times, but for fuck sake, it was just old tales to give people something to believe in! Now we have Science and logical theories for things and you still believe that crap? Wow, you people are stupid.

  • I like the confusion caused by Sikhi - our Guru's message is universal; Sikhi is NOT a religion; religions state dogmas, rituals, etc. This week we will witness the heads of lambs and goats being sacrificed in the name of God; how absurd! (talking about Eid by the way).

But the message of Nanak is universal since ALL humans are "Sikhing" God...in essence ALL humans are Sikh. Sikhi is a purer form of trying to establish a relationship with God. Something many faiths have failed to do.

  • LOVE & RESPECT FOR GURU NANAK DEV JI ..........

  • Bless your soul Guru

  • -:Born hindu who sees peace in islam:-

    {2 questions which need to be answered}

Q1. Which God did Lord Siva, Shri Rama, Shri Krishna, Jesus Christ, Moses, Wahe Guru, Lord Buddha were praying to?

Q2. Why human only believes when he sees, we were thought you cannot see god, then where is our faith?

"When it comes to u, you cant imagine & you will not believe it, becoz you want it to be your way & you will not accept it & qns him"

    ::Ashhadu Allah ilaaha illa-Lah::

    ~:Peace:~

  • @pppeaacceee,

A1. Shiva, Rama, Krishna, were aspects of the supreme being Brahman/YHWH. Jesus, moses were Abrahamic prophets of Brahman/YHWH. WaheGuru is not a personage, Waheguru in the Sikh tradition means Wonderous Teacher referring to Brahman/YHWH, Buddha did not pray to anyone, he taught self inquiry.

This is basic knowledge, why do you ask?

  • @pppeaacceee

A2. What kind of stupid question is this? Of course seeing is believing, otherwise you will fall for all sorts of foolishness...Everything doesn't have to be seen with your 2 eyes to be experienced...

  • @pppeaacceee guru nanak's visit to iraq changed the views of a islam scholar who believed in 7 heavens, guru for told them there more then seven heavens..as the crowd drop the rocks they came to stone him with and rejoiced in guru nanak was honered and given a robe.. guru debunked islam research history you idiot

  • @pppeaacceee you got it wrong, history proves jesus was not muslikm, he was before islam , and this video you are watching of the nanak , he proved that there were more then 7 heavens to the quran holy m en, who then converted to being his guru nanak followers. that why this shrine was built under his name, islam is a luciferian faith , it prmoted sodomy..

  • @pppeaacceee My friend do some KUNDALINI yoga, it is not just physical exercise as u think it is. Or do some meditation...Dhamma.org...It is free of charge. It is a science a SCIENCE. Do it and see for yourself..forget about internet or holy books...DO the REal thing.

  • Baba Nanak is the only one who many religions believe that he belongs to them .

You want to call him Muslim .go ahead

You want to call him Hindu go ahead

But read about his whole life and then figure out who he was and why he was liked by so many religions.

  • Everyone that are saying hes just muslim is wrong hes every religion

  • love for every sikh .

  • I thought Guru Nanak's shrine was in Pakistan

  • proudsikhjatt.....brother of the many comments i have read , guru ji would be proud of you. There 2 kinds people in the world , one who appreciates the shape and the intricate designs on the jug of water and the other appreciates the water and drinks of it. It's also amazing to me even for this video people cannot refrain from swearing.

  • i dont believe in that because only GOD created everything!

  • koi khee ram ram,koi khuda ee,,,,

    GOD IS ONE

  • excellent video

  • my friend change the name of the video it is actually Guru Nanak Dev Ji....

  • To clarify, the word ''sikh'' mean disciple, and the religion ''sikhism'' was made between the muslim sufi and the hindu religion, but a sikh will say that he is not a muslim and neither a hindu. And if u read the life of Guru Nanak, he goes to Mecca with his muslim friend.

  • did Guru Nanak perform hajj???!! And receicve a cloake (Chola) from an arab with the quranic verses on it??

    What was his religion exactly?

    plz help!

  • Guru Nanak is the founder of Sikhism. For hindus, he was regarded as a Bhagati Guru. For Muslims, a Pir and a Fakeer. Nanak spoke to God for 3 days, who revealed to him a direct revelation. Let us not make a distinction between religion, and honor Nanak as the man that he was. important in all 3 religions.

  • corrections he was a prophet, but we are from the hindu lineage which is much older then the abrahamic faith, sikhs are not from the abrahamic faith but from the hindu linage.

  • @showingthetruth no were not hindu lineage ? buddy were a tharmic faith not abrahamic , andy es most sikhs wer converts from hindus but also bhuddist, jains and muslims.

  • @jodhgarh thanks for shedding light on this. Most of what is taught in schools seems to create an impression that sikhism was derived from hinduism.

  • wonderful words

  • @Thund3rHors3 well said

  • well he is regarded as the creator of sikhism so ill guess he was sikh, although he started like as a hindu. as he was born from hindus

  • Guru Nanak went to city of mecca not 2 perform hajj, but 2 spread the word of god to show that allah is every where and not in one directions where u make the mecca as the qibla or markaz.when he laid down, his feet was towards mecca imam rakuddin said to him u feet is towards allah, guru nanak reply move my feet where there no god. When the imam turn his feet away he saw a vision of khane-kaaba every where, but it was in allah command that this miracle should be shown and so it did.

  • @malika878 lol. sri guru nanak dev ji did not perform hajj! yes it is rue he did wear a chola with verses from the quran writtenon it which was given to him by a good pir friend he had.he was a sikhvand doesnt mean he was a muslim.

  • @malika878 i am a sikh and have the quran at home, it doesnt mean i am a muslim!he went to mecca and fell asleep with his feet facing the kaaba. a man saw this and said why are u slleping with ur feet towards god. so nanak replied put my feet where there isnt god. as he turnd the gurus feet the mecca turned to where the gurus feet was!

  • @malika878 guruji turned the mecca 360 degrees back to its same spot.ever1 was amazed and bowed to the guru.guru ji said god is everywhere and within us all,its just we are all too blind to se him!god is everywhere and not in one direction.

  • @badboy6687 my mother told me about this story when i was young.

  • @malika878 no he did not do hajj

    he was sikh not muslim

  • @exec9292 actually he was boorn hindu then followed sufi islam then became sikh = )

  • guru nanak dev ji was founder of sikhisim ok

  • @TheMe2468 sikhism was founded by the other self proclaimed 9 gurus and not guru nanak because he was a muslim

  • @shael1000 quote of GURU NANAK DEV JI from SGGS "na hum hindu na musalman allah ram ke pir paran".

  • @shael1000 guru nanak was born in a hindu family, but guru nanak had passed on the teachings of god and formed a new religon which was sikhism.

  • @shael1000, Your Ignorance has been laid bare.

  • @shael1000 another ignorant person, first of all guru nanak debunked islam on many of there teachings, when he went to iraq, he even slept and his feet towards the mask, and when the people moved his feet the masked super naturally moved with his feet to, second, he debunked the 7 heavens that is taught in islam, in retrurn the muslim scholars honered him with a robe and made a shrine after his name in iraq, it's funny how you claim jesus was muslimto, when romans proved he was nor.

  • he was sufi thats sure.... and he did not only belong to sikhs coz that time sikhs did not exist.. sikhism came in guru gobind singh ji time.............

  • @arshi1435 - wtf!?!? Ninja are you demented?? Guru Nanak is the Founder of Sikhism..He Created Sikhism..WTF Are you on about??

Sikhism was created to defend those who cannot defend themselves and to give the Invcaders of the Motherland the same medicine as they have been giving its people.

  • sikhs were followers of nanak...SINGHS were annointed by guru gobind singh..

  • @arshi1435 actually no that was when the khalsa panth was establishes sikhism became a religion during guru gobind singh ji's time but it was a type of beleif and way of life before based on teachings of guru nanak dev ji andsuccesors written in the adhi granth.

  • @arshi1435 khalsa came at guru gobind singhs time, guru nanak was not a hindu nor a muslim, sikhs follow his teachings

  • Very few of us in the West know of the life of Guru Nanak

  • history tells that guru nank was murid of baba bullay shah n,t any thing else

  • @ariesmahal - Maybe that is your Pakistani belief but Not History...Please dont add stupid Comments for Gods sake please dont.

  • areesmahal pls get proper knowlege of sikhisim ok ,otherwise dont comment on our religion,we didnot comment on ur religion because we didnot know properly

  • waheguru

  • Can the author tell me what sound track is being played in this clip & its from which album?

  • why ru guys swearing in here get a life

  • Jai Ho!! Peer Nanak Shah !

  • "in illah NANAK Rasool Allah", when he read Azhan on top of that gurdwara.......O Baba Nanak what you really were you yourself knows and Waheguru/Allah! Till this day muslims/hindus/sikhs claim to be theirs, but I think you were everyones but mostly you were.....

  • u piece of shit shut the fuck up don't talk ill about Azaan u prick !! I'd slit your throat open if you were here.. come to maida vale and say that you prick and I swear on my creator I shall have your head off!! I don't talk ill about anyone's religion but your putting words into the azaan and taking the piss... stupid fucking jahil piece of shit.. it's because of the stupid sunni muslims that your guru even became sikh because they led him the wrong way.. if it was for Shia Sikhi wouldnt exis

  • dum fuck u dont know shit about the guru.. shia my didn´t do shit exept 2 run for cover...

  • go home, no 1 wants ta listen ta ur shit

  • again showing the signs of violence and talking about azaan it batter . showing the real face od real islam fighting fighting go inside urselg and fight with ur inner negetivities. slit the root of -ive things in inner world but u people never understand

  • you asswhipe when did u comment on this, penachoud sala gashti ke aulad, fuk u

  • ProudSikhJatt,

Its obvious that a man who said at the age of nine that he is niether a hindu or a musalman as already stated by flava82 earlier already knew his own mind.

The Guru Ji was true unto his own beliefs

And i think as the founder of the Sikh religion it goes without saying that he could not belong to any other religion, but this will not stop others claiming him as theirs just as they have done with Jesus but relegating these pious men to lower status than their Muhammed

    {:-0)

  • Sat Sri Akal

We do have strong roots in Islam especially Sufism, it does not bother me at all, Some of our earliest and closest to Guru Nanak Dev Ji were Sufi's, like Baba Farid/Sheikh Farid he wrote bhanis, I did some thesis work regarding this backed my many religious Sikh schollars PM if you want i can send you this.

  • @sidhucer90 Please send my any scholarly information regarding Guru Nanak. It would be of great help.

  • It's the evidence though which seem unreasonable to make him a hindu or even a sikh. It makes no sense saying Azhaan, or confirming the Kalima. Then there is one incident where he claims that he will come back as Guru Gobind Singh ji fight Aurangzeb etc etc and Guru Gobind Singh ji himself said he does NOT bow to Qu'ran. If that is the case, then why Did Guru Nanak ji bowed to Qu'ran? He said he will come as Gobind Singh ji....there are many things not only this...surely he was less hindu and...

  • waheguru ji ka khalsa waheguru ji ki fateh jio..

  • the video is just amazing... got no words to describe... its just too good... thanks a lo for making such a video and uploading it for the world.. u rock bro... guru saheb hamesha charhdi kalaa vich rakhan...

  • WoW awesome nice work :P

  • why?

  • GUYS HE WAS FOUNDER OF SIKHISM- wat he was teachin are the basics of sikhism and sikhism is a universal religion, u can do watever research u want to u will not be able to find anywhere it says dont be a muslim or dont be a hindu or sikhism is the best, infact sikhism says to be honest will u r murshad or guru, so wat sufi saint said in his comment down below are the basics of sikhism

  • GURU NANAK DEV JI IS A SIKH

    YaLL peopleeeeeeeee

  • Nanak might be a Muslim; people fought over him after his death

Some said that he was branching off from Hinduism into Sikhism while others said that he was trying to guide people to Islam.

I mean no offense to any Sikhs; infact my best friend is a Sikh; also I do not like the Mughals either because Islam is a peaceful religion in which forceful conversion if prohibited. Hope all those Mughals that forcefully tried to convert innocent people burn in hell.

  • Guru Nanak Dev Ji: "I do not make pilgrimages to Mecca, nor do I worship at Hindu sacred shrines.I serve the One Lord, and not any other. ||2||I do not perform Hindu worship services, nor do I offer the Muslim prayers.I have taken the One Formless Lord into my heart; I humbly worship Him there. (GGS, p1136)"

  • well said JDP1699. I am sure 1303hr has no more doubt, :)

  • Im a Sikh, what 1303hr has remarked is true. After Guru Nanak had passed over there was very heated discussion between the Hindu's and Muslims as to which faith he followed, so as to give him the appropriate funeral rites.

  • he followed one faith... SIKHISM! and challenged others..."na Hindi, na musalman", as the true Guru Nanak Dev ji spoke when he was only 9 years of age...meaning he was not a Hindu or Muslim. vijay singh

  • He did not follow any faith. He attained illumination through his dedication to truth. The illumined do not need faith because there is no need for them to believe since they KNOW. He himself said "I reject sectarianism. I recognise one God on the earth, in the heavens and in all directions". He was not the founder of any religion since

there is no religion higher than truth. This was the point he was making when he said "There is no hindu & no muslim" (the predominate religions of the region)

  • who built this shrine does anyone know?

  • i wanna get a tattoo of guru nanak but i want a really nice one like when he was kid

  • Forgive me if you are insulted but that is an incredibly stupid thing to do!!

If you want to mutilate your body go ahead but don't get a tattoo of Guru Ji.

  • I have a lot of respect for the teachings of Guru nanak but am majorly pissed off that he went to mecca knowing full well that non muslims aint allowed in there.

and he wasnt preaching sikhism, he was preaching the love for one god, one supreme being, brotherly love etc.

  • im sure there was a perfectly good reason if they did go insude the Mecca, the last thing guru Nanak Dev ji maharaj is do, is dis obey a islamic rule !

  • Were non muslims banned at the time of Guru Nanaks visit (1600?) ? Did Mohammed (Peace be upon him) leave instructions not to allow non Muslims to grace the very earth which he walked upon? You don't have to be a Muslim to believe in Mohammed (Peace be upon him) Sikhs believe in Islam differently.

  • he was taken there by a man who saved his life - aparently the man wanted nothing in return but for him to simply come and pray with him

  • hey, do god a favour and dont get a tattoo, they were against having drawings on our bodys ! thanks ;)

  • HE stayed in baghdad while coming back from from Mecca Madina, and discoursed there for some time...

  • Wasn't afghanistan, Iran, Iraw and many other countries a part of India at one point?

  • NO it was not india did not exist as a nation till the british came.

  • Why did Nanak go to Baghdad, what is the real reason behind this?

  • It was an important religious centre of its time. Guru Nanak travelled far and wide and held dialogues with all the learned ones everywhere.

  • to teach his preachings of sikhism he went all over the middle east and all over india

  • Why on earth did Nanak go to Baghdad?

  • wht music is tht...

    baba nanak ji ..love yoU

  • ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ

  • KABIR who was muslim sufi saint..Kabir ranks among the world's greatest poets. In India, he is perhaps the most quoted author. The Holy Guru Granth Sahib contains over 500 verses by Kabir. The Sikh community in particular and others who follow the Holy Granth, hold Kabir, a Bhagat, in high reverence.

  • Kabir was not a muslim or a Hindu. He was critical of both religions. If you really read his poetry as you claim you did, you would know he did not agree with many core practices of islam or main stream Hinduism.

  • If you all really luv Guru Nanak di Sikh- Then please wake up early in the morning and recite Japji Sahib and Prayer written by Lord-Guru Nanak Ji Sahib himself.

I swear your life will get filled with happiness, trust me I am not lying.

Waheguru Ji da Khlasa-WaheGuru ji de Feteh!

  • SATS SRI AKAL

  • tested and i agree. thank u

  • tested and agree

  • Guru Nanak was aadi Guru i.e. he was appointed a guru by God, parbrahm Himself was Guru Nanak's Guru, he came to end all the pakhand present in all the religions present at that time i.e. both muslim and hindus. sufism itself is influenced by vedanta of hindu philosphy. He did go to bagdad to enlighten people that no particular place is holy, every place is holy, hence going to hajj etc is not important, meditation upon the true name is important

  • thanks

  • Seems like the water has been decreasing per stats every where.....

  • ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ

  • Interesting.

  • Even Kings and emperors with heaps of wealth and vast dominion cannot compare with an ant filled with the love of God.

    Guru Nanak Dev ji

  • @jazsingh27 that is truely beautiful may baba nanak our beloved father shed arrogance from us.

  • As fragrance abides in the flower As reflection is within the mirror, So does your Lord abide within you, Why search for him without?

    Guru Nanak dev ji.

  • what music is that its amazing.?? great video
