  • Nice recording, by the way!!

  • el trombone bajo es muy bueno saludos y felicitaciones

  • si señor

  • i am disappointed by the fact that there is no tuba :(

  • Unfortunately we don´t have a good tuba player in the city, but the Bass Trombone player plays very well.

  • dually noted

  • @marcelotrompa its just that u can't find it

  • A growing number of brass quintets are using bass trombones as a replacement for tubas. F/Eb tubas tend to blend better with quintets...CC/BBb horns have too large of a sound for most works and the balance can be completely thrown off...but alas, not every player has an F tuba lying around :(

American Brass uses a bass trombone...

  • @betaomega04 As a tuba player, I find this dissapointing that there are all of these tuba players on contrabass CC/BBb that go for a fat sound as opposed to having a real core to their sound. The Jacobs recording of the Bozza Sonatine for Quintet is a great example of crisp tuba. I think he plays CC on it. The small F tubas do blend better with their smaller sound, but we should not mistake this w clarity. That's why if you're a good musician, I don't care what you play just that you sound good.

  • Sweet! My quintet is playing this for this term :)

  • Very nice! This is a very difficult piece and you guys are doing great on it!
