Many people don't understand that both (tiger and Lion) are super predators and both have advantages and disadvantages when it comes to fighting one another. Now I've seen tigers chasing away Lions and I've also seen lions chasing away Tigers. I say that they both have a 50 / 50 and it depends on how angry the creature is before an actual fight. I personally don't see the problem, if you consider that just a century or 2 ago the lion had the biggest population besides humans and I think the largest population went to the asian lion, and back then the tiger and lion must have crossed paths all the time.
