  • I was there in 2010 and was disappointed. I am a 5th generation Wendat descendant and everything was stereotyped. There was some actual similarities in cultural beliefs and such. It was a sell out. Most Native Americans shouldn't sell their culture to the mainstream society. I would not allow that.

  • ffaaakkkeee assss indiansss! bunch of white people!

  • @clintonbear53 I do not profess to be an expert at Huronculture or tradition but this looks very cheap & stereotypical. The dress these people are wearing makes me ill. Are there ANY Natives that had a hand in making the clothes or setting up this place? What is this dance they are doing and what does it represent....or is it merely a "Kodak moment" for tourists?

I thought our French Fathers could have done much better at creating something truly historical. JMO

  • @AndrewIda You're so right...makes me blush with shame although I'm Swiss

  • @9SolAnge9 I didn't mean to be ugly, I just thought the Province of Quebec could have done a much better job with this place.

  • @AndrewIda well of course they had to fake this...why would indigenous people want to take part in selling out their own culture? ;-)

  • @9SolAnge9 ...whether the Huron want to sell it or not, it will be sold. I would think the Huron people would want a somewhat true depiction?
