And once fighting hand to hand, the pirates would get destroyed, they only had so many guns, and their swords were small and weak compared to the vikings giant swords and axes. If I had to take a chance, i'd bet the vikings would (eventually) come out on top.

Of course, the pirates had better technology simply because they came about 600 years later.
