Yes, she began her career as a figure skater in ice dancing, but she broke her hand in the age of 19, and couldnt go on with sport. So she decided to become a coach.

Tarasova has coached so many great skaters, but I think everyone knew that Alexei is the only one she would do pretty much anything for. He'll always be her favorite. Even Johnny Weir said that she treats him like he were her own child.

This is a awesome display of the bond between coach and student. Coaches are always behind the scenes and they are there when you don't skate your best or when you skate the program of a lifetime. They are there on the good days and the bad. They build you up so you can stand on the top. This was a great video. Well Done.

Beautiful video. Thanks. While the men in Alexei life have always disappointed him (his Dad, Mishin) he was blessed to have two strong, loving, amazing women in his life, Zoya and Tatiana. They always believed him him and taught him to believe in himself. Tatiana taught him how to live the music he was skating and give it passion and emotion. Beyond that she loves him and for this I am eternally grateful to her.
