@xAllyApathetic If you leave a tiny little metal bar in (like the one I'm wearing in this video, which I soon changed to 2-inch long PTFE flexible maternity bar) it can cause a lot of irritation which can lead to an infected navel. Obviously you need a bar that allows plenty of room as your belly stretches otherwise you'll notice that the piercing gets red, weepy and eventually infected. But I used a maternity bar and my piercing is still perfectly healthy today, 14 months post-partum :)

(but no, it doesn't hurt. You get a bit of discomfort when you first start to feel it, but you quickly get used to it and it begins to feel quite "normal". Then, later on, they get bigger and jump on your bladder and kick you in the ribs. That hurts.)

The piercing stretches a bit but if you swap the metal bar for a longer, flexible PTFE one you can retain the piercing fine.

The hole does stretch which makes it pretty much impossible to wear standard metal jewellery as you get further along. I ended up buying a 1.5" PTFE "maternity" bar though, which is much longer and more flexible so I've been able to keep it in. :)

Nah, not at all. For me it felt like an exaggerated, harder version of your usual gastric gurglings and stuff. It's been a month since I took this video, and he's a bit bigger now so it's more uncomfortable. Still not painful, just discomfort, because he gets awfully close to my ribs and does these big firm rolling movements.

The very first time I felt a full-on kick, I actually squealed because it was just such an alien sensation...it didn't necessarily "hurt" but it was something my body had NEVER felt before so it wasn't exactly pleasant. Now though, I'm so used to the kicks I sometimes miss them until I'm really relaxing and paying attention
