I always liked the urraco, It was a good car with a good engine, sad that the factory was in that tractor import deal with brazil i think and the order backfired so there wasntnt funds to carry on production of the Urraco.
Hmm... a mid-engined V8 sports car, the littlest sister to the Lamborghini V12 flagship... is the Audi R8 the 21st-century Urraco? Much as I like the R8, I think it would have been better if it had been a baby Lambo instead...
I have got a very good hint for you to keeping the nice old DOHC Engine in good shape with todays ultra dry eco fuels: Use 1:100 API TC two stroke oil / fuel mix as regular driving fuel, that keeps the old fuel-system gaskets, rubber parts, alloy parts etc... and cast iron metal surfaces of those vintage engines in excellent shape...and it also lubricates the valves and upper piston regions. Most Porsche vintage owners in Germany do so :) Also keeps carbs and tank clean and rustfree

Beautiful car. This car 15590 is only 10 numbers from my 15580, making it about 3-5 cars in between. Very nice to see the special "bravo" style capagnolos! Mine still has the original 15 hole capagnolos. Where is this car located?
Yes the Urraco had 180 HP DIN as FIAT DINO 2,4 V6 Ferrari...thats true both were very nice cars! The Urraco has lots of understatement thyt you wont find on modern supercars...I wished I could buy an Urraco. Dont need it for racing only for some cruising with good sound!
i wanted to find a urraco or jalpa or silhouette but they are rare and lamborghini specialy makes the V8 engine to order but for an assload of cash. so even getting a body or kit car will still cost outrageuosly, less than 100k maybe? i'd still go for it thought just cuz its an epic car
@walter4x4 - the old Daimler 2.5 Hemi from the SP250 roadster and the Daimler-badged version of the Mark 2 Jaguar is incredible too. Sounds like a really big Rover V8 - deep, bassy thunder.
Factory Specs are 220 and we saw around 140at the rear wheels. With a 30 to 40hp loss through the drive train to the back wheels we can assume the motor produced around 170 to 180hp. This is below the rated 220, but the Lamborghini Factory tended to over-rate their figures. Given that the motor had not been freshly tuned the results are fairly good. Only mod is a new electronic ignition system
140 bhp measured is interesting because I remember that Top Gear measured the same on the black Urraco that they treated so badly. I have red Urraco nr. 15 812, close to yours but with US version black bumpers. It's still original, done 36 000km.
The Bravo look-alike wheels-which brand are they ?

Great looking and sounding car.... i have to ask, where did you get the figure of 30 to 40hp drivetrain loss. Is it a standard 15 to 20% ?

I think cars lose about 4 hp per year anyway so that seams to be right on the money. i have seen a lot worst.

HI Bri,
This car is located in Melbourne. I will have my Espada and Greg will have this P250 at the Euroa Car Display on Sunday....

Very good that its still running well. Haha 15580 is just across the Nullabor here in Perth, slowly being restored.
It will be nice to get my car over East for one of the car shows one day.
Good luck

to Klotte -
Urraco P200 Hp 182
Urraco P250 Hp 220
Urraco P300 Hp 265
factory claimed bhp output
(a little bit biased numbers if compared to performance on my op. but so it was with italian sport cars in the 70es ....)

you lose horsepower over time naturaly, you lose more if you dont take good care of your engine/car

therealsporadicaarmy - well,your pleasure
is worth the expense :)
I owned several sport cars in the 80/90es
I had them restored and repaired after
engine failure or crashed, and back then
they could be still enjoyable and brillliant.
But today that's just a love affair !
If you like sport cars at affordable cash you have a wide choice at half the money.
Greetings !
believe me,with half the money you can get

It has always amazed me how Lamborghini could get such a massive, deep sound out of a small 2.5 liter V8. Beautiful stuff.

How does that performance compare to the factory spec? Is the engine standard?
