Wow Prayer Tower Church of God in Christ ( Bishop Lindell B. Brown of Greater New Orleans Jurisdicition)use to tear the church down with this song for communion!
If only we'd apply these very words to our lives everyday.Oh how victorious we'd all be and that very attitude would flow onto others who need the victory!!!
I love Greater St. Stephen B.C. This song is timeless and anyone saved in Louisiana in early 90s should treasure this reflective song. Of course we know God will in NT times not take His Holy Spirit from an indwelled truly saved Believer, but the revival tone of the song is clear!
Well, I'm glad you had a chance to listen to this. This is actually a pretty good recording, if you ever come across his, you should purchase it. He released two albums prior to this, the first one with the original "Your Tears" that was later recorded some years later on the Malaco/Savoy label.
Wow!This is an old song! I used 2 here this song when I was a lil boy & now I'm 20. I grew up in New Orleans & went 2 Greater & could remember having church in the auditoriun connected to the east location b4 the East location sanctuary was completed. Hallelujah!!
It is an old song, but a goodie!! I guess this was a popular song in Louisiana from most of the comments provided. I just remember hearing this on the radio in Texas at times back in the day, but never really heard any of the local churches singing it (at least from what I can remember).
GOD BLESS YOU!!!! GOD BLESS YOU!!! GOD BLESS YOU!!! I have been looking for this song for YEARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRS. I am from Lousisiana and my church choir used to sing this song around 1991-1992. A girl named Myyannah used to blow this song out of the WATER!!!! This song has SUBSTANCE-MEANING behind the beautiful harmony and music!
Hello, I'm not sure if you are asking about the record company for this album. If so I have the orignal recording as a good friend was the Minister of Music and worked and appears on it. It was recorded on the church's label and according to the printed info on the album, was the "second record production of the Greater St. Stephen Baptist Church Mass Choir". The label reads: Produced and Copyrighted Greater St. Stephen B.C. Ministries. Prod By. Joel Britton, Exec. Prod. Rev. Paul S. Morton.
Me too! I remember hearing this when I was younger but never knew who was singing it, so I was so glad to come across this recording and finding out this song was on there.
Natalie indeed does a great job singing this. I'm surprised this wasn't on their greatest hits album they released last year or year before last (maybe they couldn't get clearance from the label to put it on there).
