I Just Noticed, The People Who We're Working At WNBC-TV's News 4 New York's On-Air Team In September 1987 We're Jack Cafferty, Sue Simmons, Al Roker, Chuck Scarborough, Pat Harper, Len Berman, Ralph Penza, Pia Lindstrom, Liz Smith, Katie Kelly, John Miller, Carol Jenkins, Gabe Pressman, Ben Farnsworth, Jane Hanson, Mary Civello, Joe Witte, Perri Peltz, Magee Hickey, David Diaz, Mike Taibbi, Steve Handelsman, And Tony Guida.
For those asking about Don's ABC comment toward the beginning, if you watch further in the video you'll see that they were doing fall previews of the major networks and on this broadcast it was time to cover ABC's primetime lineup.
Best open/imaging ever, best transition ever at the end, best news set in history, most creative news show. And WNBC has thrown it all away over the years, leaving Chuck and Sue to wither on the vine. And they wonder why their ratings have utterly collapsed.
Yeah, its one sucky TV program on The Weather Channel that isn't really weather. In a few years, NBC will bastardize TWC just like the rest of the empire that was, while the family of Landmark will retire pretty nicely with a near $3B sale of TWC a year ago. Network corporate suits can also ruin their own stations as this station shows in the last year or so.
Is that Seinfeld's Kramer, Michael Richards at 3:21?
