  • The film is good, but there could be more about treatment... it seems like no one ever worked with her, no therapy. There usually is, especially if the child is diagnosed, somebody usually works with him. I don't think she would be that advanced, but would be far more severe if no one ever treated her. I don't think there's anyone that would just be by himself like she was, with no therapy nor anything. Also there's no need for routine pictured or meltdowns. seems like just a shy awkward kid...

  • i have aspergers so i know how but growing up i was not labeled wtih it so i was just know as the weird girl

  • you have a harry potter top!!! amazing. love the vidio, for me it was quite realistic. what inspireded you to make the vidio? nice work!

  • Thanks for adding your video to Monster Vox!

  • Thanks for adding your video to Monster Vox!

  • Just to let you know in most cases we with aspergers would never walk over to some one to try to talk.

We don't know how they would react and are afraid for there reaction, and how every one else around us would react to our actions.

  • @toyy7675 Who says we'd not, I usually did and they just said "go away, you're not like us", or they looked at me strangely whenever I said something wrong or made a mistake. I was not aloof, I wanted friends. I just did never know how to read the 'tact'. Know what I mean? Not everyone is anxious about what people are gonna think, so I know many with AS that try and just come out as awkward. ;)

  • @ashanna91 Well that's why i said in most cases i don't speak for every one lol.

  • i think that in thiskind situation it is relief to get final answer for why she is like that.

  • does she have AS or is she an actress portraying one?

  • actress

  • Well, there describes how feel about High School. Everyone's so ignorant.

  • i was diagnosed when i was six and it was a pritty ruff road to get to where i am now and its still hard to this day dealing with the feeling of no one understanding me if their were any cure i would take it just so i can fit it and not seem weird or anything

  • Her hair is well kept. Her clothes are nice. She has a nice body. She expresses a lot of emotion for someone with aspergers. Where's the kids throwing gum in her hair or spitting on her. How about showing her dating the wrong guy because she can't read people and showing the wrong guy attacking her. Thanks for the effort, however.

  • Not realistic beginning. The parent wouldn't be told that over the phone and the dread comes for the parent when learning that there is no "cure".

  • I could relate to the high school part. But I didn't go to my graduation because I didn't want the kids to bully me. I picked up my diploma later. I also did not go to prom for that reason.

  • This is a great video, although with the background music you made it seem like something terrible like cancer.

I happened to notice that you are ambidextrous - that's awesome! =)

  • It's not "Thank again to Alex," but "ThankS again to Alex."

  • It's good people like you that help inform and

support people, by making them feel good after seeing your video, that I as a Mom am not going crazy or imagining things going on with my son. Thank-you so much for your video and the songs were really great. Keep sharing with the public to educate!!

    Thanks

  • this is a really well made vidio, it look so profechinal!! i have aspergers i do write a diary but is is ually just about what i did in the day rarther than how i feel.

  • this is exactly how i felt when i first found out, but now i'm proud of having it.

  • Thanks for bringing awareness to austism and Aspergers. I would like to point out that I don't think many with autism spectrum disorders would prefer to write in a journal, as they often struggle with handwriting.

But they are often ostracized and have a hard time fitting in - and you did a great job of bringing awareness to the stigma.

  • this is a really well made video. my brother has autism. thank you! this is a good video to open people's eyes, the people that reject autistic children because they're "weird", or the worst word, "a retard". KEEP IT UP! THANKS SO MUCH!

  • aspergers is an great thing

also i find myself an very underground person like when you listen to sonic youth, red house painters, radiohead, dream pop etc

  • thank you for making a video for people with autisim maybe this and olinkalex's video will help people understand what i and other people diagnosed with aspergers has to go through

  • Excellent Video. I will put this on Aspegers TV in my news site. :)

Spinergy - Like the wheels on my wheelchair... What wheelchair? Sheesh...

    DNews -

News by People with Disabilities for People with Disabilities to educate the world...

  • I have aspergers and i dont give a shitt about it :P

  • well som people hav it hard like tht girl (Molly) does i know i do :'(

  • A phenomena which the psychiatric community cant seem to grasp is that people with a difference in IQ of 30 cannot have a conversation between each other. That means if you're IQ is 140+ (1 in 200) you cant even have a conversation with 60% of people. Einstein really believed this to be true also.

I think its more than half of pro athletes have aspergers, practically all of the smartest people to ever live had it. If only the psychiatric community realized this.

  • Nice video, came across well x

  • I think aspergers is just the ability to think and recieve info. differently. Nothing wrong with that...nothing wrong with a little variety. I'm different in some ways...and i wouldn't change. I like being this way...shy, quiet, inside my mind and own world...don't know what made me this way...but it's probablly not important.

  • Autism is not a disability I am 46 next week and life thogh sometimes is very tough it is very good and I would not trade it for all the normal brain cells in the world :-)

  • You are not sick you are very special I love being Autistic it gives you a view of the world that normal people miss out on :-)

  • It feels nice that my video Inspired you and your freinds. You did a nice job.

P.S. it would be nice if this was a video response to my video.

  • thank you so much! and i sent the request for the response just now :D

  • People with Aspergers are not "sick".

  • we know, it was the only way we could explain it through the eyes of a child (she was suppose to be like 6 or 7, but she looks older. its not meant to be offensive.

  • No we are not. I have aspergers I get the same looks and feelings as Molly did. I grew up with aspergers and was diagnosed when I was 7-9 years old.

  • did you like the film?

  • I love it. It's a good way to portray aspergers.

  • Thanks, we are really glad to hear that! We really wanted people to get a glimpse of what it's like.

  • our DANK PRODUCTIONS intro actually had the text on it!

    grrr. oh well.

my voice on the phone sounds oh so doctorly, doesn't it? hahaha :]
