@eedobee The recently discovered natural gas reserves in territorial waters will end up being divided up between Russia and israel. (Both countries recently (a few weeks ago) signed treaties with Cyprus.) The Cypriots have made deals with devils, and the devils will have their due.
Cyprus should have just borrowed money from the EU. They could use the natural gas revenue to pay it back. Now they have enslaved themselves to gangsters.

Russia secures her investments, takes a share in the upcoming gas explorations and Cyprus buys time to ride out the crisis until gas revenue starts pouring in. At the moment all major players are looking to get a piece of the gas reserves within Cyprus AOZ. Russia gave us a decent deal
