I cannot hear any sounds! I've tried with and with out headphones, I've opened the piano roll and clicked notes, I've tried different instruments, and there is NO sound!
I've tried going to options, then Audio settings, and tried "Default" AND "Primary" NO SOUND for either.
Hey Man, Have You Ever Have A Problem Loading Edison In FL Studio? When I Go To Load It, Its Saying Can Not Find, But Its In My FL Studio Folder!! Any Help Would Be Appreciated:)
i followed every step but when i open the mixer the only sound that shows in the bar is my internal microphone on my laptop??? do you have any idea what i need to change?
@JingleBerries11 A simple sound blaster live WITH ASIO will work perfectly. Try them both out, you might be able to rent each of them for a few days from your local music store then make your decision from there. Just make sure they support ASIO.
hey i was wondering, im planning on getting FL studio but i want to run it on my labtop which is well equipped processor and memory wise, but it does have integrated audio, would FL studio still work up to potential?
@UGonnaEatUrtots Hi - FL Studio will run good however be aware that not all integrated audio will work as FL Studio requires ASIO to record. In this case you can try ASIO4ALL but I would highly recommend getting an external soundcard with ASIO drivers.
hey i have windows vista and im in my control panel but nothing says sounds and audio device properties it just says sound...and then i can't find anything...
Ok, I have a problem!!! I was messing with my audio settings on FL Studio and out of nowhere a beeping started coming out from my speakers and now it beeps like every45 sec. even when my FLStudio is closed. PLEASE HELP.
dude...i was sampling through edison perfectly fne til today im trying to use a chopped mp3 sample from clerks 2 but when i play it in edison it work fine then i switch it to sliceX and nothing works for sound on fl ..but any other sound works.just fl dont
I followed every step in the video and succeeded in recording with edison. However, when i play the sampled beat in edison, the volumd is relatively low, that i can hardly hear it. It sounds as if i recorded a TV show with my cell phone.
hey i followed all the steps in this video but when i choose my input on the mixer, i just get loud distorted noise (feedback) any ideas? ive been messing around for a while now trying to sample but seem to be stuck
how do you do this on a laptop? it says my input is "muxedin1-muxedin2" and the output is "not connected1-not connected2" what the fuck is that? and these options come up after i have changed the audio drivers to asiov2. if i dont change to asio it says i have no input or output whatsoever.
ok that is fine, but you can just simply use goldwave and there is no need to configure as much and also you can manipulate not only with volume of particular channels.. here it looks that you need to change to much when it is possible to do it easier really... peace
Hi DATEUSZ666, thank you for your comment. You are right about needing to change too much to accomplish this. Actually the new Edison standalone VST and EXE makes it possible to do this without the need for ASIO or any extra steps. You should check it out. Stay tuned for more.
Is there a update or something it wont work for me i can even get any audio to record or play on the mixer. I have vista and realtek High audio speakers
Hi camry95black. Yes it does. Give it a try. FL is one of the best free-trial-demo soft-DAW's on the market today giving you the ability to fully try out the software before you buy it. Plus it keeps all of your recorded and sampled audio files on your computer as well as the ability to export free MP3 beats/songs.
My SigmaTelAudio soundcard only has these options: For playback: Volume Control Wave SW Synth CD Player Input Monitor For recording: Line In Rear MIC Microphone
Hello niggakev, you must have ASIO drivers installed on your system first. Then you need to select that ASIO driver (FL 8 includes ASIO4ALL device driver) in the Audio Settings window. Then you'll be able to select an INPUT in the mixer.
man, this aint workin for me. I put my soundcard in control panel to its proper source, n then in fl. I put it on asio4all. Bot in the mixer. there isn't any peak when I play a song in wmp. help.
In your mixer, try going to the channel that you will have the soundcard playing. On the right where you can add devices, click on the input at the top of it. Select your soundcard there. Also, for the mixer channel that you're using, you have to un-associate it from the main mixer channel.
I GOT A PROBLEM!! that is when i select the "stereo mix" in the "recording controle" menu as soon as i click it some spuky noise starts going off like a machine gun tatatatatttttataaata just like that, i dont kno why,n how can i FIX IT?? if u can answer me that ill apreciate it, thanx, ill be waiting for uR response on this.
it works playing my playlist into FLstudio7 but is making that machinegun noise idk why!!please help me thanx
To be sure, play the sound file player first. You can then select the STEREO MIX then select your ASIO soundcard device driver then select your ASIO from the MIXER INput list.
Yes. However these techniques can be used to record sound coming from the soundcard be it MP3, streamed, etc. Stay tuned for more videos expanding on this concept.
Try playing the sound file player first. Just make sure there is a sound (MP3 or WAV) playing first then choose your INs. You'll be good to go from there.
I tried, and the same feedback was present... i think it may be my mixer settings? although when i tried with diffrent templates the exact same thing happened
They same rules apply however you may want to check your default Windows Volume Control Settings to determine recording settings for the core soundcard. We will soon have a Vista based version.
i have the same problem with the mixer in only having the 'none' option and when i go to switch the driver in the audio settings after pressing F10 the only options are 'primary sound driver' 'speakers' and 'none' there is no ASIO option
Make sure you install the ASIO4ALL driver that is now included in all recent released versions of FL Studio. FL Studio 8 (the latest BETA version) incldues ASIO4ALL.
Just search ASIO drivers in yahoo/google, freakn idiots, what do you people use your computers for, toast? Find ASIOall drivers (for basic integrated sound) and install, it will come up in the list of drivers now. Peace!
When I play music, then select a sound device from the list, I select the Stereo one. Then when I go into Edison The sound just goes up and down really fast, nothing close to the beat. Any ideas?
Keep in mind that these techniques can be used to sample any sounds that are being streamed or played through your soundcard like a streaming MP3, radio or any other streamable media.
Keep in mind that these techniques can be used to sample any sounds that are being streamed or played through your soundcard like a streaming MP3, radio or any other streamable media.
I'm not 100% sure, but I've been trying to get this to work for a while, and it really does seem like you just can't do it in Vista. Vista's sound mixer is completely different, and I can't seem to find to right combo of settings. I used to do it all the time in XP.
If you load a sound file, MP3, WAV, etc. into Edison, it'll typically take a bit of time to import the whole file into Edison. Also, you'll find it to be very sluggish when undo-ing and applying different effects on that whole sound file. By sampling the sound file, you can simply sample what is needed rather than messing around with the whole sound file. We are working on something that will ease this process. Stay tuned. And thanks for watching the video.
Ok. I am running FL Studio 10 on Ubuntu/ Linux.
