The chickenpox vaccine wears off at around age 10-13, when it starts to be dangerous to actually contract the disease. I would much rather my children (future tense) get chickenpox, which is normally rather mild...and if they haven't had it by the time they reach 13 then they can get the vaccine for it. It sounds smarter IMHO.
